Embrace? What, do you want me to go take a bath with it or something?

I'm 1/4 Dutch, thankfully my apt heat is paid for, but I still wash my clothes in the tub and hang them around the house :p I am NOT spending $1.75 to wash a load.

I watched the whole series (minus 3 and 6--for some reason they are missing) and he makes his sourdough just like me--even the recipe is almost exactly the same.

Merle when you are ready again let me know, I'll send you some more starter. (Maybe you should wait till this summer).

By foamy to you mean frothy? If frothy, then no. It was bubbly, but it never rose, at all.. I'm sorry..
It isn't supposed to rise just bubble up and swell a bit like a loose froth.

Hope this helps. :)

MtN, how did yours turn out?

This recipe was a flop. I didn't watch the vid. However, i did convert my regualt WW recipe last night to sourdough, and it was a smaching success!!!!! Both my kids said, Mom, please don't try another sd bread recipe. Only make this one..--so we have a winner. finally!!!!!!!!!

BBH, I guess maybe i should watch the vid, but the recipe you posted didn't even rise, and I knew my starter was good. I just don't understand, so I threw it to the chickens. then I decided, after finding instructions for converting yeast recipes to sourdough, I though I would try converting my recipe for the bread that my kids love. It is awesome.!!!! LIght fluffy, and whole wheat. I will post the recipe , but it;ll have to wait. I gotta go now.
