Becca, we used to have a bedroom that we converted to a library. Every wall was floor to ceiling shelves filled with books. We also kept books on tables throughout the house that we were currently reading. :D Then when we decided to move back to Ohio, we kept only a couple dozen totes filled with books. The rest we sold or donated to the local library.
That's the kind of downsizing I need to do. Maybe I'll up and move to Montana and give the books to you!

Seriously, Kel, a year ago I was considering a sabbatical from work where I'd move to either Montana or Kansas for a month. I wanted to give some time to just me for spiritual renewal, seeing more of nature, and writing. I never figured out how to do it all financially or when to schedule it, so I got chickens instead and started to focus more on my own land.

 Thanks I needed a good laugh! Exactly what I needed to motivate myself to clean the chicken coop! (We call our RIR "The Sargent"...she rules the place with an iron fist!)

Becca, I've got a room filled with unopened boxes I feel your pain sista!

Funny girl! I still have all my books in storage from the move from the farm to here. There isn't much space for books in 300 sq ft! I mean, if you have any furniture...

Sounds to me like you found an even better way to spiritually renew. ;) We used to sit with the flock and read the Bible or do Bible studies in the barn.

No the chickens don't but I do have a pit bull that seems to vacuum behind them for fresh droppings - and the dog thinks I'm mean for not letting him lick me on the face - a man can only take that crap so far ...

My dogs are enjoying the call ducks because they can get under the pen and snack on poo.

Staying home this morning. Vegging a bit with coffee and this forum. Then to decide what job(s) need tackled most. :caf

Dial-up is actually behaving right now!
