Oh, some happy news! :D

One of my Wyandottes finally laid her first egg. :clap It was on Wednesday. No egg yesterday, though.

Probably one of the silver-laced that I'm considering selling.

Congratulations on the egg, Becca! Your SLW are pretty birds. Do you prefer the GLW? We had one of each, and liked them equally well. I think my favorites are the Columbian and White...but that could have just been the markings and personality of those particular hens. :D

What a nice looking Rhode Island Red, xpc!

Now to label all those totes with what is in them, xpc. :D

I like totes, especially the clear ones for craft materials and quilting fabric. ;)

I hope what I have in clutter isn't all burnable. I know I should get rid of craft materials that I'll probably never touch again. Did I tell you about the unfinished quilt on a frame that I moved to the living room this spring and still haven't finished? :hide

I could probably make money on CL or ebay if I took the time to sort and post it. :hu

I've got some antiques. Nothing very valuable, but I like looking at them and thinking about simpler days. But how worthwhile is that?

BOOKS, you think you have books, xpc. You should see the shelves and boxes in my place. I get free books all the time. I also prefer to buy books than borrow -- so I can go back to them. I collect fiction books from around 1900. Yes, it is bad and should be dealt with, and my mother is no help. :hide

I really do prefer the GLW and want to develop a breeding flock of them. My SLW have great lacing but single combs, which aren't ideal for breeding. If I keep them, they'll just go into my egg flock.

I like the CW and now have a young quad. They are still developing their colors/pattern.

I'm not a big fan of an all white chicken for some reason. Doubt I ever keep one.

Becca, we used to have a bedroom that we converted to a library. Every wall was floor to ceiling shelves filled with books. We also kept books on tables throughout the house that we were currently reading. :D Then when we decided to move back to Ohio, we kept only a couple dozen totes filled with books. The rest we sold or donated to the local library.
