I hope you are having a good productive POSITIVE trip Bee!

I have been busy with my new Wooly Mammoth that I picked up at the local livestock auction. Here is a pic....we named him Woody.

WOW Dace---a wooly mammoth. Cool.....it will take alot of hay to feed him. Hope you got a good resource and cash!

Did you know the stupid state has a new program releasing mammoths into the forests of NC? Yup, I know those suckers will end up in my corn field. Just a matter of time before they breed like wildfire and become vermin, just like those stupid coyotes. Better lock up your Woody good, so he doesn't get out, people will be taking shots at him! :)

FarmerChick, are those wild or domestic Wooly Mammoths they're releasing?

If they're domestic, are they allowing legal adoptions? Or do they have a hunting season on them?

Dace, how many Mammoths can be put to an acre? Are they pack animals, or do they do well singly? I mean, could I start with one and then get another later or should I get two to start?

wild woolys.

they had some old semen from the last herd of wild animals and decided to breed them in a petri dish. you know, resurrect them. And they did that and produced 2 baby mammoths which they grew up and bred. Now they are loaded with wild mammoths and need to release them....and since they need land....all states are going to be re-introucing the wild mammoths.

I hear your state is like 5th on the list for a herd release. Better reinforce your fencing....now.

I hear they smell too. :(

I won the lottery!! :ya :weee :celebrate

It's the largest jackpot ever worth 3.7 trillion dollars! :ep

What am I going to do with all that money? First, I think I'll buy Congress. Hmmm . . . that will leave me with $3,699,999,999.00.

I'll make new rules: goats and alpacas for everyone!!

Got any other ideas for spending all that money?

Woody is from domestic stock so they don't have quite the same 'smell'. He is a little fragrant though, but nothing that the neighbors will notice.

Aly, they are pack animals and I know I need to find a female as he just won't leave the dog alone . I already contacted the auction to get the sellers contact info, they probably can help hook me up with a female.

Karen I did hear about the growing wild wooly problems and yes, that is going to get really ugly. Now that the species has been revived it is not very likely that any state is going to issue a hunting license for them....looks like an ugly legal battle between environmentalists and farmers.

LadyChef, I am so sorry to hear about all of your trouble. I hope you do not end up taking the blame for that body! Oh my!

It was like a bad episode of Columbo, but sure enough, there were bones, not fencing, sticking up from the pile of mud on the lawn.
Wow what a huge ordeal! I hope the police department finds the culprit.

Several years ago a friend of mine was doing some digging in his backyard and found some bones. Some were definitely animal, but a few bones were decidedly human ... including a jaw bone with teeth! Our local police was called and they packed up the bones and that was the last we heard.

When my friend called and asked they said "Oh those were old ... probably some old Indian or settler." and that was all. If so it was a settler that had his leg bones cut with a saw, because I saw that myself.

Nothing more ever came of it and knowing our local Police they probably "lost" the bones somewhere to avoid work. It probably was a very old skeleton, however. At one time our town was a pretty wild frontier town. So who knows.

Life goes on.

HOLY COW! Can I shake your hand and bow at your feet!? Please.....I never knew someone who won the lottery! :bow

Advice--get that lawyer.
Advice--don't buy Congress, they aren't a good deal for your money! :)

AND ---can I have your 5th wheel please?

What else to do with the money----best you just bury it in the yard. Don't change how you live. I hear people get into alot of trouble coming into big money....but be sure to give tons of cash to your kids. I know they will have fun spending.

happy for you. you incredible lucky gal! :clap

Dace---you can have a new income for the family biz.
Poop. I hear they poop alot. You could sell manure. I think 1 poop should be worth at least enough to cover a 20 X 20 garden.

You will be rich! :)

Also I hear bathing in Johnsons Baby Shampoo will help the stink off those mammoths. Just get a gallon at least and be sure to wash between his legs :)

Hmm...tell your dog I am sorry for him! Not right, just not right! Abuse in natural is just so wrong! :(
