Me too, Buff. It's snowing again right now and not a pretty snow, either.

We are looking at another drought year if we get no rain this spring....we received very little this fall and winter and the grass is brown and scanty. I usually have green grass all winter but not after last year's drought.

I doubt any garden efforts will pay off this year either.

I have been plotting and planning for my MUCH downsized garden this year. I have got to get rid of quite a few ornamentals to make room for more groceries.

It is going to be a weird spring for me too Bee with only the house garden to work on instead of my big Allotment. It is giving me some anxiety. :/

I had that for awhile, Farm. I was depressed about that big of a change in my life and wondering how in the world I'll go through a spring and summer without my familiars....garden, chickens, animals, etc. I'm still going to put in a small and completely safe little garden but I doubt I will be a bit disappointed if it fails this year to yield.

I just keep getting the feeling that my attention will be needed elsewhere and that has become okay for me....at first I was at a loss for an idea on how I could live my life without having a project in the hopper, a plan down on paper, some excitement of new life and new growth when going into spring. Now I am becoming more content to just be patient and wait upon the Lord.

Actually, I saw a beautiful box at Family Dollar this evening with just that message on it and I kinda think it was meant just for me. I bought it...it was pretty and had Psalms 27:14 printed on it~"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

I took it as another sign that I am on the right path. The box had a sunflower, some floral and greenery prints, a pretty little bird and some bird eggs pictured on it. Sort of all the things I'm giving up this year so that I can wait upon direction from the Lord.

Yes...me too. :/ Almost like it's not really me...this person who is not buying seeds, nor praying for spring plowing and planting. This person who is giving away her treasured flock of beautiful fat girls with their fluffy, clean feathers shining in the sun. The same person who won't be running her hands down a sheep and inhaling that clean, horsey smell.

Who is this person??? :(
