Nice to see you!!! Haven't heard from you for some time...how in the world are ya doing? :hugs I think my folks tried the coconut oil for some time but didn't see much of a result from it...that was years ago when his dementia was in the early stages.

Doing good :) back to quilting, it is the season..getting cold outside here now, scraping frost off the windshields in the mornings, but I love fall. The leaves are turning red all around us and the deer are all over the roads again LOL! Getting the house all cozied up for winter is one of my favorate things...then the snow comes, I enjoy it for about two weeks and wish spring would come Haha.

Good Evening Bee :)
Hey, BB!!! :frow :D

I know exactly what you mean, Morel! I love the change of the season, the cozy warmth of the house, the smell of the chilled air....for a couple of months. After Christmas I'm ready for spring again!

Hi there BB! Nice seeing you!
Yes, Bee, the only thing I enjoy about winter are the big snowstorms and blizzards. I love snowdays...funny huh for someone that doesn't like winter much. But i love the excitement that builds up anticipating the storm, and then the storm itself is awesome...and the total quiet afterwards.

Me too...as long as I don't have to go to work in it! :D Even then I rather enjoy whooshing along on the white roads all by myself, slow and quiet. Whenever we have a big storm I feel compelled to fix a big pot of something, anything hot and filling! And homemade bread! :drool

Hiya Bee! Wow, long time no see. Sure do miss seeing you around these parts. That story about your dad, is funny, and sad at the same time. So glad no harm came to either one!

Hey, J!!! :frow It's gettin' like a family reunion around here tonight! :D So good to see you all!!!

I truly believe that God has His hand on Dad right now and is the reason for Dad's cheerful, sweet demeanor....my Dad is not really known for these attributes. :p Everyone at this nursing home tells me over and over how much they love my dad. He is dancing, singing, joking and otherwise endearing himself to the staff at this facility and it is more than I ever hoped for in this stage of his disease.....very rare for him to behave in this manner, judging from his past and his stage of ALZ. It simply has to be God directed! :love :celebrate

I agree. and what a BLESSING that is for you, your mom, and the staff. ALZ is hard to deal with..I took care of my grandfather in his last months...he had Sundowners. Pretty much, ALZ. Altho he was effected mainly in the evenings...some days were long as well. I am glad to hear your dad is singing and dancing, these memories will be the ones you will cherish, later.
