I used to love the Sandlot! Although now I can't remember if it was completely appropriate, pretty sure it was clean.

My kids are about that age. They love Swiss Family Robinson. Also the old StarWars and Superman with Christopher Reeve.

Sometimes they are hard to find, but old Disney non-animated movies like Herbie the Love Bug, Absent minded professor, Escape to Witch Mountain, Thomasina, Candleshoe, etc. are fun. Others have mentioned these too.

Don't forget the Black Stallion!

My dd loves Little House on the Prairie series and the old Parent Trap, Pollyanna, Anne of Green Gables, etc. but my ds hates these.

My kids also like a series called Popular Mechanics for Kids.

Homeward Bound (and sequels)
the "Man from Snowy River" and sequel
Willy Wonka
Bonanza (or maybe that was just me lol)
Quantum Leap (might be a little racy, but not over the top crazy)
The Pretender
MacGyver
Dr. Quinn (yes it's about a woman, but it has Indians and Sully and soldiers)

My 9 yr old son loves Dr. Quinn - don't forget there's Brian, the little boy, who is in many episodes is about the same age
Also ALL Star Wars, and (sometimes) Star Trek:TNG
We have the new Herbie, which makes me think he'd like the original, too
Little House on the Prairie
2nd the mentions for Goonies and Princess Bride
Pirates of the Caribbean (was scared on 1st viewing, but now loves to watch it repeatedly)
He likes to watch old black and white movies with my mom, but would never admit to that
He LOVES the VeggieTale DVD's - can get the newest at WM, or more at a Christian bookstore, or all at VeggieTales.com. If you've never heard of them, the tagline is "Sunday morning values, Saturday morning fun" And watching talking, singing vegetables is just fun! They all teach either a good moral lesson (sharing, obey your parents, being kind, etc) or an Old Testament Bible Story - or both :)
And while it doesn't add to your collection, just making sure you know you can check out DVD's (FOR FREE!) from your local library - a girlfriend has gone through 3 of 4 children watching "The A-Team" this way - which is another suggestion, too.
general themes - animal and wilderness movies, too

Hope this was helpful

All the old Disney movies, both animated and acted, old TV shows like Flipper, Leave it to Beaver, etc. I don't watch much TV now, too much sex, bad language and violence.

I love Milo and Otis! we just watched it last week.

Sandlot has a few scenes that i think are questionable.

the peter pan movie with Robin Williams, and julia roberts was tinkerbelle. I think it was just called Pan? Not sure.

Hook.

And Peter Pan (the live one from 2005???) was amazingly good.

Talking animal movies are creepy.
