Sweeeeeet on the Kitchen Aid! :celebrate

Glad Trip is okay after the rooster. :hugs

We have 2 roos, and if one of them ever thought about going after me, they'd meet their maker in a heart beat and I'd never look back. Thats mostly because I'm not much bigger than my banty chickens! :gig

Cookies went from about half an hour to five minutes to mix up. How freaking awesome is this thing?! I LOVE IT!! The pancakes were easy-peasy too. I've never made pancakes but found a recipe online for buttermilk pancake mix that are actually pretty freakin good. Get this, it's from a big prepping website no less, just my style. :D A little goes a long way. I didn't think it looked like enough, so I used another "dose" of pancake mix (and still have about two left) and it made enough for the boys, George and myself, plus I had two big pancakes that went to the chickens (didn't turn out right) and two medium pancakes that went into the freezer for a quicky breakfast another day. So, I have at least two more batches.

This Friday I'm taking my stuff in for the store, to find out which items they'll be stocking. I'm really excited about it! The store won't open until September, so I'll have time to make up a few batches of soap and have them cured and ready for restocking.

I'm trying to save up enough money to get my hunting license in. The doe tags were released this week, so I really have to get it soon. I need more arrows as well, for archery season.

I also still have to try to get money for the show entrance fees. It's not looking great right now, since I'm "po' folk". :/

Today was a drag. We didn't get the appointment in today, but rescheduled for Monday, 10am. So... I have my friend's stuff sitting here, taunting me, just begging to be eaten. I have to put up with not being able to touch it all weekend. I also have my transcript request in to get into the new school. So far, it's looking good. I explained what happened, and they didn't care, they just wanted my transcripts so they could make sure that I didn't miss any of the required classes (I haven't, I already checked online). I'll have to redo level three though, because of their policy. They require two levels in their school in order to graduate from them. It isn't a big deal, because I'll be able to learn their programs and their hospital computers without adding the added stress of learning new stuff in school.

Yeah! George asked me what the holdup was on it... I was like, well, I'm going to have to find a new daycare for the boys and start working to save money so I can afford to go back, because the gas is going to be a lot more and it was rough even with the school being two minutes away... Now it'll be about an hour away! He just said "don't worry about it, get on it now". So, after calling and getting things set up, I feel a LOT better. Honestly, I think even some of the depression melted away with just that little bit of effort, lol.

Well, I've made the decision that tomorrow is butcher day. I just cannot afford to feed them any longer. They're at 7 weeks and pathetic. Very few have made it to 5lbs... Like, one or two maybe, the rest are all probably 4lbs and maybe even less. I'm NOT pleased with the efforts and costs put into it. It's about $135 in feed since they arrived. Over 600lbs in feed. That's ALMOST a half a ton! So, tomorrow, I'll be calling the local guy with oats, picking up another bag of mash and calling it quits on the meat birds.
