Is it raw goat's milk? I was in the store the other day, and saw goats milk for sale. I've never had goat's milk b4, and thought about buying it-until I saw the price. $3.25/quart! :ep I figured I'd wait until I'm able to breed my girls to see what it tastes like.
Yes its raw. Goat share program.
Watch out for store bought. Make sure its not ultra pasturized. That stuff is lethal.
Yep, it was ultra pasturized, which was another reason I passed on it.

Yup... Pasteurized goat milk = :sick
Granted, pasteurized anything is gross, but the heat really brings out a goaty flavor.

Was the milk from Poplar Hills?

I don't know. I noticed it, and thought about buying it, but was turned off by the price and that it was ultra pasteurized.

Poplar Hills is the main goat milk producer here in MN and several other states. I believe they have 900+ animals milking at any given time, it's crazy.

Big Boxer with no training allowed to roam free.
YIKES! My sis has a boxer, went through all the puppy training classes, and they have to stay on her worse than I do on my son (Aspergers and ADHD), so that's saying a lot. Boxer's can be great dogs - IF they're well trained.

Hopefully hubby's talk produces results....

Even if they are in a raging heat, sometimes they STILL don't stand for the buck. Our buck usually pins the girls in a corner... Otherwise the side of a building is all they need.

We've had a few does that DON'T show signs of being in heat. Last year we left the buck in with the girls a full month because we couldn't catch them in heat to drag them across the yard. When he did breed them, their rear ends would be wet/soaked from him and that is how we indicated the doe was bred. This year we aren't doing that - Too hard to gauge a true due date, even though all my guesses were correct.

So anyway, since I can't see her, your guess is as good as mine! If she wants it she most likely will let him. I'm thinking she might need to get to know him a bit better first.. I'm not kidding, some goats are picky.
If you have them penned side my side like Free does, it can help you determine who is ready because they know where to go when they want attention.
