That is one thing I miss from when I lived on the west coast was fresh avocados, EVERYWHERE! If they are avocados in the store and they are ripe they cost about $2 each!

I hated salmon until I spent time in Alaska. Now I just hate Atlantic salmon! Our hosts quickly learned not to put the smoked salmon in front of me because there was a good chance no one else would get any!

My grandson felt the same about bananas, until DD offered him a very ripe banana. He is now also eating zucchini and peaches from our garden. It is so much fun to feed him the egg yolks from our pastured chickens and fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. Soon we will be giving him milk from our goat too.
