Canning goddesses! Help! They are blubbing!

Caning still scares me, kinda like horses....it is good to have a healthy respect.

Seriously, I does scare the bejeezus out of me when I hear stories of explosions. I don't let anyone one walk thru the kitchen when that big ol' pot of going!

Ummm, ok, explosions, eh? Are we talking about water bath canning AND pressure canning, or both? I've never been nervous about water bath canning and explosions. Should I be?

yeah i know! i'm still a canning weenie.

blame Bourbon Red. he called me all kinds of names, doubting my authentic farmer-ness, because i wouldnt can any of my stuff.....so the gauntlet was thrown down and i just had to do it.

but i do it well armed. you know in the Monsters Inc movie where the little round guy has the strainer for a mask and pot holder for gloves?? yep thats me. and i use The Big Man's motorcycle helmet just to be sure. no chances. no sirreee bob.

the dogs and i take cover behind the counter while all the jiggling is going on.

thank heaven it FINALLY stopped!!!

i cant figure out why two didnt seal - i think that i had them too full?? it looked like one clearly spilled a bit of liquid. but i just put them in the fridge and i used one today when i made more of those extra speedy enchiladas!
