We do internet by smartphone, too. It is expensive to have lines run for high speed and dialup is retarded and we don't even have a landline anymore and satellite was a joke. I so know how it goes!

Glad you were able to do some catching up. I so know what you mean about not having the right funds in place... we have all these marvelous plans and we don't even have property yet! LOL (is that the cart ahead of the horse?!)

After doing a little research, I haven't found too much on growing berries in this climate. I'll stick with strawberries. I had 3 varieties last spring that did pretty well. I'm going to keep searching though... :caf

I'm going to try to work on building a chicken yard today. Just a fenced area adjacent to the run to give them some more space. Then I need to bake some more bread.

Have a beautiful Saturday y'all! :D

Well, I managed to get most of the fencing from the former garden site taken down this morning. I'l finish the rest in the morning and begin to construct the chicken yard. I decided we have enough bread that I can wait until Monday to bake more. This evening we are going to watch a bunch of movies that we DVR'd off the HBO free preview weekend. Have you ever seen a movie from about '96 called "For Richer or Poorer" with Tim Allen & Kirstie Alley? I love it! The Amish farm where they hide out is so beautiful! It's the first one we are going to watch tonight!

Didn't get any of the chicken yard done today. :(

One of the neighbors back behind us was out running her dogs (she drives her truck while the dogs run alongside) and her truck died. So who does she call for help? Yep, us. Didn't manage to get it started, but did manage to get it to our place thanks to another neighbor and his truck. J is pretty good with car repairs so while he spent the morning checking out her truck, she and I visited while I baked sandwich rolls. She's a very nice lady. She brings us fruit sometimes from the farmer's market in town and we give her eggs in exchange. Meanwhile, J thinks it's the distributor, but he's going to borrow the "old man's" diagnostic thingy (what it's really called escapes me) to make sure. So now, she and the dogs, have hoofed it up the hill back to her place to arrange for a rental so she can go get whatever parts are going to be needed. Looks like J will be dealing with all that in the morning.

Maybe tomorrow will be chicken yard day!!
