It's okay. I really can only blame myself.... I will not have enough milk or time to start over with chevre. I will have to buy some raw cow's milk and make mozzarella instead...... grrrrr. Stupid dog. I thought I had the cheese hanging high enough over the sink to begin with and the truth is when I went out to run a few quick errands it had been hanging long enough to put in the fridge but forgot to. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So is the dog in a food coma right now? LOLOLOL

Mozzarella sounds good to though. I just think people will be really impressed that you have magical cheese making abilities :D

Sorry for laughing but my son and husband have eaten party food on me more than once :p
So... you must have carbon copies of my hubs and son!
Did they eat it even when the labels said "DO NOT EAT IT IS FOR PARTY!"? And then give you the dumb stare and say "What label?":smack

The dog is fine. We used to call him Kobi the Goat, because he'd get into all kinds of things with no ill effects. But that was before we got goats and decided he gave goats a bad name...
The really funny thing? When I went out to milk this evening he stood outside the barn barking at me. As if to say, "Hurry up already! We're outta cheese ya know???"
I'm keeping DS home again tomorrow. We'll sneak out to the food co-op for raw milk. It's right next door to his school. Shhhhh :hide

Yeah, so I don't think Mozzarella is happening. It's raining. I'm achy. DS is coughing. I just don't have it in me for even mozzarella. So I'm going to whip up a batch of sorghum waffle batter, thin it down, and make silver dollar pancakes with it to be served with my currant jelly. Good enough. So there. :p

The pancakes were a huge hit!! I had to make two batches because the darn dog got the first batch!! I swear I thought he was outside with the other dogs and I went downstairs to grab a pair of jeans out of the dryer.... nope. I guess I only have myself to blame this time. Luckily they are fast to make so I whipped up another batch and all was fine.
The Festival of Creativity went very well. I took a ton of pictures. We have some amazing artists. My favorite was the priest himself wearing the vest his wife made him for Christmas last year. She spun the yarn from her sheeps' fleece and designed it herself. She took a first at the Rhinebeck NY Sheep and Wool festival last month with it so he wore the ribbon too! Too funny.
I'm exhausted. Some people kept saying, "When we do this next year....." Hope they know THEY'll be the ones planning and putting it together!!

Bad dog!

Sounds like a great festival though.
SIgh, yes, yes he did.....

:he I do know better, really I do. I think it's a sign of how distracted I was trying to get ready for this thing that I wasn't paying attention.
