@CrealCritter yes, 10 is a herd.

You still have the 3 calves from last yr....plans to butcher those? That's a lotta beef 😁

I'm surprised FB hasn't added a milker yet 😊. A goat would be perfect for your home size now. Goat cheese is easy, fast, tasty.

10 ain't no herd, this is a herd.

FB read goats are escape artists, I'm OK with that.

Yes, that's a LARGE herd, yours a small herd -- but, a herd. 😊 So the yearlings have a few more months before harvest. :celebrate cookout!!

Some goats are escape prone...others not so. My Saanen milkers are pretty happy in their own pastures. I have a couple athletes -- mixed Nubian/ Saanen -- high jumpers 🤣 🤷. Great milk! (Yes Bay, I'm enabling!! 😁)

But goats LOVE fruit trees!! 🥴

I think that looks more like a FLOCK.... it looks like sheep.....
Most definitely cattle. My granddaughters like to stop and watch them. Only problem is it's a narrow back country road with no shoulder and we have to stand in the bed of the truck because the road is lower than the pastures. They are beef cattle and are rotated over I believe four 20 acre pastures. Sometimes they are in the back pasture and not visible from the road.
