That's one way to stretch the coffee budget!

i had to give up caffiene years ago after i found out how poorly it made me sleep plus i would get too jittery along with withdrawal headaches after just having a little bit for a few days in a row. it just wasn't worth it. hot chocolate has worked for me as a substitute because i don't have it every day and if i skip for a few days it doesn't give me withdrawal headaches. if i really miss the flavor i have some fake stuff that is close enough.

@Mini Horses ; best to pick up a little more coffee now to extend the stash of cheaper on sale prices....keep the average price down a bit.... because it is going to keep going up. That is why I still continue to pick up some things like toilet paper and other stuff... to help average the cheaper prices out with the higher prices now... I am going to go back by Walmart and see about getting some of the canning lids I saw.... because it will average out some of the higher priced ones I got last year to have for a hedge, and in case they get in short supply again.

Yep, I do add to supplies, watching for any sales, of course. Even if some on hand!

Prices are bad and getting worse. So things I use aren't being empty shelves at MY house. Now I'm not buying to point of leaving none for others. But, I'm buying. Wish I'd see the jars on sale here like that....I'd buy a few cases, not a pallet! 😁. But I've added to my jar count every year for quite a while, save a 5 year hiatus from any canning a while back. Stored jars though. Bought about 4 dz last yr. Yeah, I'd buy 4-6 dz of those sale ones!! Sometimes yard sales are places to get a few.

A few spices that I use frequently will come from plants this year. And I'm adding a garlic patch to my yard!
