Load of laundry in dryer. Dishwasher just finished a run. A pot of chili is done and sitting to cool of some....so I can eat! . Even made some rice to go with, I was in the mood for it. Crappy wet, overcast outside, soooo.....

Morning all! Chickens are out and fed, laundry in the washer, and off to get the dishes done. Beautiful cool morning in the 60s, opened up the house and it smells amazing

Yeah, I made that last post at 3 in the morning. Tummy upset last evening and didn't sleep well. Need to rally this morning and get moving on this canning.

Plus my department is meeting on-site this week. Dummy me mentioned the hospital food drive going on this month, so guess since I got volunteered to lead our group's participation, I should probably grab a bag of stuff from the store

8 stops this morning. Pushed through it, but exhausted. Almost 80 and very humid as the storms are getting here soon

I was tricked into believing it was going to rain, yeah right It's currently 86 and I had to call out the bucket burgrade (me). Poor sweet potatoes looked like they needed Viagra, nope just water I'm going to start cobbling together some junk to build a buffalo and put an end to the bucket burgrade so we can just pull it around and water what is needed

The rain pushed through here in about an hour. As I was out and about this morning, I thought the buildup was going to be something bigger. Not complaining

Rain! all past week...another week of same. Some mist, some soft, some sun, some downpours!! All making it too wet to mow, hoe, till, or go without boots! Plus, this morning we were fogged in heavy! Clearing now but, so muggy out. Temps are all over the place and saying 90s by end of week. Well, that combo sounds like a sauna!

These extremes are crossing the country. We're all sharing the annoying waves of one thing after another. And hurricane season starts in a couple of weeks --- I'm feeling we won't even notice with the stuff already going on. life is a whirlwind of activity! Economy. War. Weather. Shortages. Shootings. Anxiety is high everywhere.

I'm thinking a day of soft breeze, in a rocker on the porch, shaded from the glorious sunshine, a glass of iced tea in hand, listening to animals softly munching grass closeby, seems where'd I'd like to be! Let's meet up and relax!!
