Well it's 2 flocks confirmed for bird flu about 18 miles from here. State vet says everyone needs to keep their birds locked up until 2-4 weeks after the last case. It's being spread by the migratory waterfowl coming through. All my netting will be here tomorrow. I'm wrapping them fully. The large fowl will be losing most of their run for a while. I can only tarp so much of it.

A little melancholy today. The "people you may know feed" on my Facebook popped up a few folks from over a decade ago here, as well as some HS acquaintances.
Just feeling long in the tooth this morning.
meh you are not old but i get feeling that way sometimes especially when life seems to have gotten away from you

Someone asked me a question the other day. I started to answer with "if you'd asked me that question 50 years ago...." Holy Crap - how can I be old enough to talk about things that happened 50 years ago? (or even 60+ years ago) Oh well.... getting old is better than the alternative, lol!
