You realize I don’t quite get it? Clams have lips? On their neck? That would be hard to put lipstick on! LOL
If you wanted to take a few informative pictures, I’d have a much better idea. I’ve never gone “clamming” but if I ever do, I’d know how to clean them.

They're huge! We used to get cherrystones from Eastern Shore. Maybe size of half dollar.

Horse clams are bigger here and then we have geoducks. Those are big clams.

Back to work today. But got some canning, dehydrating, freezing and cooking done past 3 days. Now 4 days of wallet time

45 now but going to mid 70s. Almost norm temps

Would love to go back in time to the 60's and harvest cherrystone clams from New Jersey. Grandmother made Clams Casino.

I'll take some of the clam meat down to Mom and Dad. Mom likes dredging them with sweet potato flour (makes them very crispy outside) and frying them.

We didn't get tuna this year. The heat played havoc and kept them out too far for good catches. Salmon are also having issues as well because of the heat and lack of rain.
