Up here... a few years back now... they passed a law that says if the vehicle is over 10 years old you can buy a Z tag.

The Z tag costs more than a single year tag... but then you are done. You never have to buy more tags. if you sell the vehicle, the new owner has to buy a new set of Z tags.

Would give my eye teeth to have a Z tag. We can put farm use on our trucks and such... but there are restrictions to how far from the farm you are "supposed to drive".... But I haven't owned anything less than 15 yrs old in the last 25 years..... one tag and done would sure be nice.

Do your Rotts study the situation first, often for a while. Before they go into RAG (Red, Amber, Green) mode?

My wife's does. Anything abnormal, within sight or hearing distance. I parked a trailer out of place. He growled at it for several days, before he peed on it and it became his.

Great Pyrenees are known for barking, a lot. Our girl does bark, but she has learned to bark once or twice and then one of us comes out to see if we can figure out what she's barking about. Once we tell her it's OK, she usually drops it. One of our neighbors commented that they actually LIKE her being out there, because they know that if she barks, it's because there's something out there that might need attention-- she isn't just saying the doggy equivalent of "Hey! Hey! Hey!"

My husband had cataracts in both eyes. He was VERY nervous about the eye surgery and wanted to back out, but of course you know I pushed him and made him go. It took only a few minutes for the actual surgery, he said it wasn't bad. In a day or two, he could SEE! They did both eyes. He didn't realize how bad his eyesight was until after his surgery and was so HAPPY that he had the surgery.

Prayers for your wife so that maybe she isn't so nervous, but I'm going to celebrate for her too.
