You guys are so amazing! Would have love to have BK or coffee with scrambled eggs and bacon. Mine is just mud. All I taste is the sugar and milk. Had to switch to decaf and well, you know, mud,lol
Hey but went outside before some rain and came back and had some scrambled eggs with pork chunks. I know, same animal but wrong cut,lol

What Canadian smoke?

Jesus is Lord and Christ 🙏❤️🇺🇸
The past week from here to points east, smoke from Canadian forest fires has been making things tough air quality wise. This was from Wednesday

We had the hazy days the past 3-5 days from the high levels of smoke/ash from the fires... way down here in Va....Had air quality warnings for anyone with asthma or sensitive breathing issues... heart difficulties.. On Wed and Thurs... The saving grace to this is we have been a little cooler than normal and NO HUMIDITY... We have been making hay like crazy... Just finished up about 30 acres baling today... HOPEFULLY some showers coming in tonight and tomorrow... we are VERY DRY and the lack of humidity is not helping...

We had nice soaking rains today. Enough to wet the soil well, but not so much as to flood low spots. No lightening, no thunder no strong winds, I would say the rain was about as good as it gets. I had to put a sweat shirt on earlier this evening and am comfortable with it on while outside. We have the windows open, nothing like the clean smell of after rain.

We had one nice soaking no drama, thunder or lightning gentle soaking rain.... overnight about 2 weeks ago... 1.3 inches; but sure could use some more rain now. Been great hay making weather though. We have made orchard grass, mixed grass hay and wheat/rye mix hay that the weather cooperated for and we got it cut and made DRY... no wrapping in the plastic "marshmallows"; with the seed still in the dough stage so ought to make great hay to feed... more than half done with 1st cutting.. about 125 acres so far...guess we only have another 40-50 acres of our own to make and custom make about 25 for a neighbor...
So glad first cutting orchard grass is done... My allergies go nuts and now that is done, I am back to pretty much normal... YAY.... later cuttings won't bother me and plain grasses don't bother it except for maybe dusty days...

Hay is running a little light... about 3/4 what we usually make most places. One field of just mixed grass hay made about 30 rolls and we make about 35-40 there normally.
Hay is going to be tight many places again this year. If you buy hay, get what you think you will need ASAP... because there might not be much for sale later on.

I don't know why but it seems like as soon as I get up, the things are like piled up on my face and my BP starts to race up. What happened to my calm morning?

Good morning everyone! Another Monday, another week to start. Hope that everyone had the much needed rest before tackling a new week. It may have work, struggles, and situations but it will also have the right amount of peace and joy in corners we can easily miss. So, stay alert and let's do this!

FJ: I learned from you last year about tedding.

Well, hay is being cut out here. But Friday, unbeknownst to even the weather forecasters, it rained. Talking to folks at my yard sale, there were many concerns about the 18 hours of drizzle on that freshly cut hay. I asked if they could tedd it again, and I learned that if they tedd it too much, then more and more of the grain drops off and it lowers the nutritional value.
