Afternoon Coffee Time
3pm,,, gardens watered, I got the rest of the windows washed, but with me I dont just wash the windows, I washed the back porch, the 2 rocking chairs, the screens, the dog food holder stands, ........
Then I pulled out the dryer ,, the way the house builder put this vent in ???? maybe the original owner had a dryer with a vent this high but I doubt it---
image_67164417.JPG
but it has to go out and up and into the wall :\then,, it goes down under the house and supposably out a vent,,, but no air comes through the vent , :gigwe put the leaf blower up to the hole in the wall in the laundry room to blowout any lint, but no air made it to the vent outlet on the back porch.
Anyway we cleaned out the vent hose, the wall tube as far as we could reach.the dryer cant go closer to the wall, I want as best air flow as I can get.
We'll get our son or?? one of his friends to go under the house.

So, I got that done,
vacuumed the house and under my bed and dressers, went out and checked on the chicks,, all was well

And made COFFEE,,
I thawed out some ground meat--- ??Shall it be EASY taco night??? :idunno

:woot:thumbsup YES! 🌮 🌮 🌮 🌮 🌮

Good mornin Grandma and all else. Have a blessed weekend.
I plan on being in the garden all day,
I just finished fluffing the coop, getting them ready for the day,
I puttered in the kitchen a bit and swiffered the living room floor, the dog are shedding and need a shower but not this week coming maybe the one after. We have great fog this morning and its only 51 out.
yesterday evening I looked out the window and mamma #3 was up on the outdoor roost and the 2week old up up there with her, I got a pic before it took a Flying leap haha and landed on the head of the hen to your far right SO funny, the hen was shocked hahaha

I've been up for 4 hours and haven't hit a real lick yet. Already hot here. Low 80's for the lows with the dew point in the 70's.

I guess I better get a move on.

Zone 6B or 7 can't decide
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I started the Kombucha. I brought farmbabe out to the cave to sample it. I popped the lid and moved Mrs SCOBY over enough to get two sanitized table spoons out. To my surprise, it's really good, no aroma but a nice balance of sour and sweet. I asked farmbabe if she thought it needed to be cut with water. She said nope it's good just as is, it's stronger than store bout but in a good way.

So tonight I'll be brewing 5 gallons of strong sweet tea to ramp up out capacity. I did observe how SCOBY ferments it produces gas, I suspect CO/2, but need to research that. But to be more sanitary, I'm going to brew a 5 gallon batch with the newly made SCOBY in my 6 gallon primary fermenter. I will add a air lock similar to how I used to brew beer/wine. I think that will work, if not I can always remove the air lock.

If needed, I can ramp up to 7 gallons since I also have an 8 gallon primary fermenter. But I think 5 gallons will be a good test run at larger capacity.

Jesus is Lord and Christ 🙏❤️🇺🇸
