Coffee is ready. Just finishing second cup then gotta get dressed and get outa here to be at feed store when it opens at 7:30. It’s about an hour away.
My neighbor and I worked sawing up some timber on my sawmill this afternoon.
This 12 foot long big nasty wild black cherry butt log was butt ugly on the outside but absolutely beautiful on the inside. It's going to become a live edge table trestle table with live edges bench seats all with a bar top finish. I was able to get 3 2 inch thick live edge bookmatched sets 36 inches wide (2 at 18 inches wide) plus assorted 2 inch thick lumber. To build a nice table. View attachment 24026
Note to self...
Don't let ugly on the outside prevent you from discovering beauty on the inside.
I hope everyone had a blessed day. The days in earth sure go by quick anymore, where does the time go?

Good morning,Hot week of temps. Normal summer, maybe a touch above norm. Biggest chore is more fresh water. Plenty of shade, shelter, pasture for animals. Hot but tolerable.
Coffee just beeped ready...charge up and out the door. It's another day to enjoy!
That is going to look so great! I am thrilled you are doing that!, its so PNW of you
We have a cedar that just up and died, a very big tree, I was thinking I would love a coffee table a 2 end tables out of it,, We'll see
I usually cook out on the barbie Friday evening. But will I need charcoals? I think so... but probably just not as many as usual.I got20 bags of feed, Carson got a dog biscuit and lots of petting. I saw 6 deer going and coming back. I hit the brakes, slowed down, sure don’t want to hit a doe with fawns. Saw several spotted fawns too. Got feed unloading and put in metal trash cans to keep the rats out Did some clean up outside and chopped some pigweed and threw on the burn pile. Hot. Soaking wet. Time to get out of the heat.
Pretty picture. Yep I'll be watering trees with the water hose myself when it gets a little cooler later in the day.Good morning,
I got up at 4:15, Rooster was disturbed, went out , he was upset at one of the 5eek old fell off the roost, lol I put it back up and went in, made coffee, walked around in the dark watching the morning light inch its way up in the sky,
got 1/2a cup of coffee down and went out at 5 to set the feed, scoop the poop, rake the sand floor, open the windows, hahah I walked/held one of the 5 week olds and went out in the run, talked to it a bit,
The ground is bone dry again, the rain ran right through our sandy/rocky/ redish oceanic dirt, ran all down hill to the Hood Canal--- so me too, more watering
