it is 48 out again,,, I guess it is just going to be this way, I may need to starting tonight, cover the tomatoes at night.
I think I will go get a bit more wood chips this morning. I have watering to do, a load of wash, pick squash and tomatoes,, I think I will put the sourdough starter in the fridge, we dont need bread till??Wednesday.
I think it is going to be a slow day

And in other news, the wife's immunologist thinks we may have experienced the latest Covid variant in mid August, it's more like a sinus thing than anything. With her issues, she hasn't been able to shake the sinus infection, so she's on some powerful meds. I felt like garbage for about a week, but decongestants and nasal saline spray helped

Amazes me they are born fully developed and ready to go. Even pups are born with their eyes closed. Not with cattle though, it's amazing to me.

the difference between herd animals (beeves, bison, zebras, ...) vs. the other more isolated single grazers is that the herd animals have to be up and walking within a few hours or so or they will be left behind as the herd wanders off to graze. deer, moose, etc are more solitary during their birthing time of the year so they can take a day or longer to get their feet under them and to be up and et' 'em...
