Yes, it is!! This "new" deep clean crap isn't normally needed but, ins won't pay -- dental groups make big bucks for little of nothing done. IMO it's to pay for the "hygienists" . They contract with ins to do certain work at a set price, that is less than charged non- insured patients. I'm just glad to push them :old

very scammy sounding to me. :( taking advantage of people...

FB tells me this morning that yesterday right next door in the Ozarks of Missouri, they recieved up to 15 inches of rain along with a few tornados, flooding and loss of power. We recived maybe 3 inches of rain here and all is fine. Plus most all crops have been harvested around here already. Hopefully this means an end to our drought.

If its not to much to ask, please join me in saying a pray for those impacted by the storms in the ozarks of missouri.

Thank You!

Jesus is Lord and Christ ✝️

We use a private dental practice, not a chain. Amounts we've had to pay aren't that much more than we paid for crowns I got back in the early 2000s. We do have a good dental insurance, though. Back to same one we had back then.

They covered the deep clean hubby needed a few years ago. He hadn't been to dentist in years and we'd changed insurance. I was good with a regular cleaning. The dentist's doesnt usually try and upsale services. Hubby just has issues

that's different and i'd expect that to cost more if it takes more time and perhaps different equipment and supplies or even a different specialist.

I cant remember the actual copay amount now. It was around $30 I think. Regular bi-yearly cleaning is fully covered and encouraged by insurance. He was in there 2 hours with them really digging with the tools. His teeth have been pretty good since.

He just got 3 new teeth put in a week ago. 2 were molars next to each other. He keeps biting his cheek and tongue because one has been missing years and the other broke last year and was removed. He's just not used to having teeth there.

I've used electric toothbrush for years & buy/switch new heads regularly. I also brush with baking soda quite often, in addition to regular paste. I've never had a plaque issue, bleeding gums, etc, which is why I won't go their "deep" route. Only once and if it took no more time than it did (1/2 hr), just not needed.

Some people's body just works differently 🤷. Many do need the extra working & scraping. Like being tall, short, skinny or not😁

Great weather today! I'll enjoy several days at home again. So far no jobs have popped up 👍. Plenty to do here. But, now until Feb is really spotty work available, so when something comes up, ya do it 🙄🤔 sometimes.

Me too @Mini Horses. Been using an electric toothbrush for years. I have 5 cavities - 4 of them were from 1st and 2nd grade. The last one was from 28 years ago.

I have strong teeth, even tho the top teeth were moved over one space towards the two front teeth. Its a genetic condition that is passed down every other generation. I was missing the two smaller teeth next to my front teeth. So in the 70's, I had braces that moved all the teeth forward one space.
