Hii! I'm new to this thread, and this site in general and haven't posted much

Welcome to the porch,, Sorry I havent responded , its been a busy family time the last 2 weeks.
Folks gather here to drink morning coffee and tea, visit about our day and life,
often we help each other out with encouragement and understanding.
We talk about everything homestead related. Between all of us we can give tips on just about everything,

I have 14 Welsummer chickens, a organic herb / veg garden, I have been married for 42yr's, 4 adult kids, 12 grandkids, 2 Rottweilers, and stay very busy.

This is a ladies room post, so if you're a man, scram!!

I went in for an ultrasound of my female parts. Last time I had one was when I was pregnant with our son, who is coming up on 34.

Anywhoo, evidently my ovaries have disappeared! Could not find them. Ultra sound tech is just that. Not a doctor. Very weird to think that my baby making days are REALLY over, at the age of almost 70 in two months!!

AND,, Happy New Year!!
Just another Wednesday here at my house. I had family in and out the last two weeks.
So, on with the day to day business.

I just refilled my hummingbird feeder, I have 2 that stay all year.
I want to get the instant pot out and pressure cook my turkey bones for broth, get all of the throw rugs washed, get the celling and walls dusted down, all the kitchen cabinets and drawers wiped out along with the outside of the cabinets. THEN gather nick knacks and dust / wash down all the furniture; pitcher frames; window blinds; and wash the inside of the windows.
THEN-- hopefully I can get all this done by Friday and YES,, MOP,
I have been putting this final chore off since last May. Its been a rough year and I have let my standards slip.

its 6:30am,, Its Bible study time and then get moving.

Holy Cow - if I dusted and cleaned like that my house would fall down, lol. Sometimes I think the dust and spiderwebs are all that's holding it together.

Yeah, I'm tired just reading it!!

Usual day here. Chores & coffee. There's added vigilance now with goats kidding when they please. Four are done, only 15ish more Butt watch times. I get to snuggle babes every morning. sweet...and makes for easy handling adults.

Windy!! Sunny and decent temps, otherwise. Can't do much outside with this. Rained last night, too. About 1/3", not bad...winds will help dry surfaces. I'll need to dump feed pans.
