So yesterday it was gloomy overcast weather which most people would sit inside and go bleh over. Not me! Apparantly it was motivation weather!
I gutted and baked squash, cooked rice, boiled hotdogs, boiled eggs and made egg salad, gave some old rice to the meal worms and the chickens, gave the guts minus the seeds to the chickens, gave the squash rinds to the chickens, and used the water from the eggs on the compost pile.
Today we are going pumpkin picking and maze traveling! :) yay! CJ actually took the day off so we could spend it together! How's that for cool?

Yesterday at work a coworker gave me a large white rubber egg that she had laying around her house. so, when I came home last night I stuck it in the fridge with the other eggs, cause thats what you do with eggs! My lovely SO, CJ, was making eggs, he picks this one up, turns to me and says "There's something wrong with this egg, its empty!" :gig  :gig  :gig  :gig  :gig I walked up, took it from him, and dropped it and said "Oops!" and start laughing. He bends down and picks it up and says "Did you drop that on purpose?" so I take it from him and squeeze it to show him its not real. It was a hoot watching his face change as it finally hit him that it wasn't real! :gig :gig :gig :gig   :gig :gig
Ah, there are just some things in life worth going through just for those moments :D
"Empty egg!"

...."you are way up in my hula hoop and you SERIOUSLY need a tic tac."

Lori : I sure coulda used that about 28 years ago. See, I lived in a neighborhood where the ex and I were the only white ppl. The rest were boat people, the refugees that had come over from Vietnam and other persecuted countries. They are now an integral part of the culture of the Bay Area, but at that time, it really bothered me that their personal space was ZERO. Standing in line at Gemco, I had NO personal space and they bumped and prodded and I thought they were rude. Course, they wouldn't at that time in their lives, know what a hula hoop was.

I also loved the story about the honey, help me find a purse. So true, and what a great reaction. I'm sorry about the Goodwill incident. I would have marched around the corner and told her to knock it off. My fav phrase - knock it off!!! with a sneary look, upturned lip, and disgusted tone of voice that draws out the three words.

So, I got a reply to the email I sent to the regional Headquarters for Goodwill:

Mr. Ryan,
I appreciate your communication concerning your visit to our Golden store. I investigated the incident and indeed what you reported was confirmed. Corrective action has already taken place and re-training on customer service and the values we look for in our employees within Goodwill of Denver are being re-addressed. I must apologize to you on behalf of our Golden store and Goodwill of Denver and to sincerely thank you for bringing awareness to our staff so that we can correct and improve on inappropriate employee behavior. Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.

Isn't that the sweetest letter you've ever seen? Ah, that just warms the cockels of my heart! :)

Remember, if you ever have problems, it ain't nothing a maurading self righteous Matthew can't resolve! (except for the small problem of breeders being able to marry but not non breeders. stupid rule. its like when they had whites only clubhouses or men only bars or or something stupid like that. pah! however, one nice thing is we don't share taxes! :D )

Haha, the maze was awesome!! we only found two of the five or six or eight checkpoints, managed to go from the first checkpoint to the last bypassing the others along the way (still not sure how!) and in the process did something we probably shouldn't have but it was in the middle of a workday and noone was around :woot :hide :hide

But, I just got a call from me mum. Her bf/lover is suspected of having lung cancer. They have to make an apt in billings, mt for next week to get biopsies and stuff so I may have to drive up so I can drive them there and back. *sigh*

haha. TMI my A :p
I didn't give you an 1/8th of the I :p

So, update on the BF of the M. The specialist that they were supposed to go into Billings to see next week was actually in town today so they went back and saw him. Now, William has four tests scheduled for next week and thankfully they don't have to leave town for them. One is another cat scan, one is a bariatric (sp?) one is something else and one is a brain scan because he apparantly has spots on his liver. So, we'll see what happens. They say there's a very small chance he has a collapsed lung, but they are giving it almost certain guarentee that he has lung cancer. What concerns me is that if it has gone to his liver he's essentially screwed. *sigh*
