I bought some beneficial nematodes for my garden last year, and this year as I was turning the soil I didn't find any grubs at all. Lots of earthworms though, so I know the nematodes don't bother them.

Hvaent seen shortages as bad as it was.... recently here seems most stuffs been stocked up everywhere, thatll change I think in the next few weeks as school reopens.

~Shortages on~
Cleaning supplies
Plastic gloves (some stores are not getting anymore shipments till the hospitals dont need them as badly, as shared via employee)
Flour
Sugar
Canned tomatoes, corn, peas, green beans.
Beans is a toss up, some stores gone bean beans, some has stock but not what I want.
Some miscle seasoning items
Shoes, particularly in 10-13 mens and women's. Including rubber boots
Mens socks, underwear
Womens pants, underwear, socks.
Board games and puzzles
Most sewing stuffs been pretty empty too. Especially fabric and elastics

Many of the shortages depend on WHERE you live....like, a lot of apartments, well TP is sure to have a waiting line -- more people. I do feel as this crap continues, many people are now feeling they need to stock up on more than TP. I have found that the cleaners, sanitizers, etc are generally low stock everywhere. In town, the foods are way low but, more rural there isn't AS much shortage. Probably due to gardens, etc.

The meat counters will make a vegetarian of you! Just shortly before all this I was unusually able to stock my freezer well at exceptional prices -- or free with butchering. No idea how fortunate I would be, at the time it was all coming in for me.

I'm pissed off today. I was at Walmart. Today is first day of required masks. I was in grocery aisles and 2 employees stopped a woman in a wheelchair on oxygen to tell her to leave because she wasnt wearing a mask. She correctly cited ADA, and the employee response was both incorrect and rude. It literally stopped traffic, everyone in the aisle knew it was wrong. So we split up the rest of her shopping list and ran and got those things for her. Thankful for kind strangers and not happy with walmart. Their employees did not have sufficient training for the situation. 😡

That's the truth! I've spent a lot of today grinding several briskets I bought while they were on sale prior to the 4th. I got a whole bunch of ground beef out of those briskets at $1.99 a lb as opposed to the $6.00+ they want for ground beef now.

We can certainly live without beef. We've got lots of protein on the hoof/foot around here, but DH loves ground beef over all meats - including steak....

The smaller stores should see a resurgence in customers as people realize that these smaller stores are the lifeblood of communities, and these people will try to help you, accommodate you, in ways that a bigger store won't . There are very few things I go into walmart for anymore... and I did what I had to last week and when they tried to give me the speech about as of Monday masks will be required... I said, that is why I am here today and I won't be back anytime soon.
I would hope that the lady on O2 will write a letter to their corporate headqtrs and tell them how she was treated....

It absolutely does not matter what ADA states. I have a letter of exemption, and it affords absolutely NO protection from being forced to wear a mask. If I intend to take care of my step mom and dad by accompanying them to ANY medical appointment, I am forced into a mask or shield. And, THEIR medical needs are even more pressing than mine. She is short of breath with ANY exertion, and his sats were 88 at his first VA appointment here in Maine. He was forced to wear a mask for 3 hours, in spite of low sats and being dizzy. I complained to the VA complaint dept. Got absolutely no where.

Garden seeds are in short supply in many places. I ordered a few things for fall, had to use two companies to get what I wanted. I let some of my favorite purple Japanese mustard go to seed, so will have plenty of that.

I advise y’all to get garden seed now for fall and maybe next spring too.

Walmart corporate policy recognizes not everyone can wear a mask and that their employees are trained for exemptions. Was definitely a store level training problem
