Our Frustrated Curmudgeon
Sorry about the hawk attack QA. At least most of us here realize we are a part of a bigger world than our house.
I like bird watching. Some of the raptor behavior I enjoy are the harriers skimming over the fields in search of prey. And you know something? They manage to find nocturnal rodents during the day, just like coyotes do. I also enjoy kestrels hovering and then diving. Have you ever watched a nuthatch walk head first down a tree trunk or on the underside of a branch? The antics of bluejays. The acrobatics of chickadees and goldfinches.
This weekend is the annual Great Backyard Bird Count. I depends on people like us. You don't have to spend much time, just as much as you like and you don't have to be an expert.
