I dropped off the kitten in Colorado. No problems in the car although she did leave one gift but that was to be expected. She had the run of the car during the trip but preferred to ride on my shoulders. Another favorite spot was my lap and she tried out the steering column. Traveling with kittens can be an experience.

I got to see all my grandkids. Whoo hoo. Lots of fun.

Had a whirlwind few days of training for the new job and now I'm waiting for the actual fieldwork for my first project. It is surveying for spotted owls and northern goshawks. I'm not sure what the next project will be.

Right now I'm in Southern California visiting family then at the end of this week I head up to Northern California for the work. Internet access up there might not be available. I'm going to the thriving metropolis of Mad River.

Maybe while I'm here I can visit some of my old stomping grounds and meet some of you for lunch.

I would love to meet you for lunch, but recently had you for dinner and breakfast, so I'll probably have to pass on the lunch. But might I recommend the Temecula Pizza Company (or something like that, but not California Pizza Kitchen)? It has a delicious pizza called "The White Lady" which your brother, John, highly recommends. Love you and miss you. So do the older two grandkids. :)

Dac, I would be tired just from all the travel. LOL forget the work.

But that job sounds wonderful.

I was thinking an ice cream cone at the Pepper Tree if I could even find it still.

The pepper tree that the ice cream place was named after is no more but the stump is still there.

My wife was at girls' camp for a week and she had someone watching out for our chickens. Well, the person didn't check for eggs real well and we have a hen on 16 eggs.
