Thank you all.

When I get pictures I will post them (with the parents' permission). It may not be for a few days. He is in Nevada and the new parents probably have more on their minds than posting pictures right now.

Sorry she had to have a c-section! I just had one of those in July, not the best recovery. I will keep her in my prayers!

They decided they didn't like Andrew so now his name is Simon. I liked Andrew better but he isn't my kid.

Still waiting on pictures.

My allergy that turned into respiratory crud doesn't want to let go so today was a nothing much day.

Did a little with the chickens. Stirred the litter, added some litter to the coop addition, took the water fount out of the addition since they weren't really drinking from it (they use the other fount), moved the extra nest boxes from the addition to the main coop since they weren't using them in the addition. Added some straw to the nest boxes and watched one of the chickens kick it all out. Chickens.

I think I figured out why I am getting broken eggs. The birds don't want to wait their turn or use a different box. One of them jumped in the box that was already occupied and started pushing around. There is barely room for one bird, definitely not room for two full size birds.

Kept the wood burner warm. Split a couple lengths of firewood. I didn't do much since I'm feeling crummy and have tendonitis in my elbow. Like in the Beatles song, "What a drag it is getting old."

My friend that was supposed to help me with wood and storm cleanup didn't make it. He broke a rib a week or so ago and it was bothering him. Maybe for the better since I am feeling so crummy.

The bluebirds are back. Other birds too on their way to their wintering grounds. I heard a white throated sparrow the other day. I think the juncos are returning.

I was hoping to maybe shoot some arrows today but it was on the windy side so I passed. I did get some quality time laying in the hammock. Sunshine and an extra jacket.

Think I'm going to skip the potluck tomorrow.

When I put the eggs in my pockets I have to remember not to lean on anything or carry anything big. So far so good.

I got a flu shot already.

Now I messed up my back. It started with too much time at the computer. I really should get a new chair. Then when I tied my shoes my back was tight and I bent harder than I should have.
