Ohhhh, I would have so puked back at him! :sick My dogs have never been allowed on my bed...or my furniture...they have comfy little dog beds that they know belong to them.

:sick That is so gross. I would have been sick.

Mom and Dad used to live in Idaho and would tell me stories about having to shovel to get out of the house and feet of snow. They moved to Arizona after that.

All this talk of goats on this forum and I want one. DH has been bugging me about what I want for my 40th. I wonder if I would be in over my head if I got a milk goat. What would the basic housing needs be?

First of all, you likely need to get more than one ;) A lonely goat may be a problem goat. Then - figure out how much milk you want, and what you are going to do with the kids - unless you find some does already in milk.
I have mine in a 6 x 10 barn, with a fenced area about 20 x 50. We also have an unfenced 1/2 acre pasture that I walk them in when it's nice. That's good for 3 mini goats. Since mine just kidded, I have to sell all but one of the babies once they are weaned. My girls are very laid back and do quite well with this. Give them a dry, draft free place to go in and they are fine.
Start studying and I'm sure you can find what fits your need and situation. :) There's vaccinations, feed choices, hoof care, etc. Seems like alot, but it's not that bad.
