DD#2: Barging in the front door. "Ok, I am ready to move. I am even ready to sleep in that little fold down spot in the camper if I have to."

DD#1: Following close behind. "Me too, I'll sleep in a tent if I have to."

Me and DH: "Really? What about the Boyfriends?"

Both: "Hey sometimes you gotta make sacrifices."

Me and DH: Blink, blink (stolen from OFG)

So EVERYONE is on board. And today when I was rudely cut in line at the bank by some older lady, that just about pushed me over the edge. Everyday the anxiousness gets worse.
:weee

So glad everyone is in agreement!!!

Well, today is Thelma's date with the butcher. It is my first time bring something to the butcher without wings. I am nervous. I still have to shower and do farm chores and then load up the Ol'Girl. DH has transformed the Mad Max Mobile to the "Ape Catcher" as he puts it.

To Ol'Thelma:
You have served us well, when you return to the Mother thank her for us.

Sounds like things are moving forward nicely! I know that same jumpy feeling when you just can't wait to get out of someplace. And yea that your entire family is onboard with it!

Good luck with Thelma. :hugs I'm sure I wouldn't ever be able to do that.

My Dh cousin did that very thing. He bought an insulated semi and then loaded it with everything his family owned. Then when he got to Mo it served as a work shop / shed.

I think that's the rout we would take as well.

I am very excited for you.

I have no awful guilt or sadness about Thelma. The boys on the other hand keep crying their little lamb cry looking for her. That is KILLING me. :(

Oh, Boy were you right. I had the Ol'Girl quartered and I did the rest. I made some sausage meat, forgot the casings though, and let me tell you, OH, YUM!!! I made a meat pie for dinner tonight. The rest is happy, enjoying all the benefits of freezer camp. Hanging with the 48 quarts of blackberries and green beans.

whoooot!!!!

i think AL said it best when she first dressed her meats - she said "under those feathers there was a CHICKEN!"

so when you get over the shock... wow the meat you get is tremendous. whooooot!

i hope it encourages you to keep on keepin' on!

:)
