Looks to be a quiet day around the house. I am "off duty" on the weekends, so every Monday is a bit of extra work getting the kitchen clean. I'm thankful for a dishwasher! DH installed more undercabinet lights in the kitchen. It's so nice and bright in there now! My to-do list is long today, cleaning, deep cleaning, schooling DS, and lots of phone calls to make too. (Not my favorite thing to do!)
I'm hoping to carve out time for garden planning this week! DH is on-board with putting electric fence around the garden!
So much for quiet day around the house yesterday! I had too many contractions, plus lower back pain, so ended up going to ER in the evening to get checked out. Everything is OK still, baby is as acrobatic and wiggly as ever.
Weather forecast lied. Was supposed to be 20+ today and 30's the rest of the week. -25 this morning. out:
Boo for colder than forecast! Hope that you didn't have any problems because of it. We have ice now but then should be steady for a little while and not super cold.
alright young lady, time to slow down and take care of you and the baby. glad that everything's ok now. you're what 7 months? take care, the old nurse in me growls. i know you have things that have to be done, just take it a little slower. you are in my prayers
Just 23 wks goatgurl! I had preterm labor starting at 25 wks with DS, delivered at 37 wks.
I'm thankful to have an employee painting. The biz is in a leased building and we have to paint back to white. I have 4 appointments next week, then my employee has one the following week, and I'm DONE at work.
I've been dizzy and fatigued. I feel like I'm not doing much other than eat, sleep, and get heavier! I haven't been out to the barn for ages. DS is caring for rabbits, DH for the sheep, goats, and chickens. I must be getting old, this pregnancy is so much harder on me physically. I can't lift anything heavy anymore. My joints are getting all wonky, so I'm stiff and sore every time I get up. Not to mention round ligament pain. uff dah. Counting down until it's over. I hope I feel more fit and able after delivery.
ETA: I think I lost muscle mass in the first trimester, making the weakness/joint wonkiness more obvious. I was under "no exercise", "no lifting anything" restrictions until 16 weeks due to severe subchorionic hemorrhage.
Sorry for all the whining, it's been rough around here... and a long ways to go still! :/
Reading the paper, DH found a notice that in our county, residents can purchase certain varieties of trees from the Soil and Water Conservation Department "at cost". 25 trees for $18! 2 of the varieties are a perfect solution to screen out our too-close neighbor's property (currently vacant), and one of the varieties is hazelnut - which we were considering buying from a seed catalog. Sounds like DH is going to dig A LOT of holes this spring!
I know my 2nd pregnancy was harder than my first. I had all kinds of problems that I didn't have the 1st time around, plus it felt like DD was playing soccer inside of me!
Can you prepare traditional bone broth and drink it? That has so much good stuff in it for joints as well as nutrients. Maybe that would help?
Take care of yourself!
Yay on the trees! I'm jealous! How big are they?
