I'm so glad we didn't give up on the eggs in the incubator! DH candled them all last night. There were about 5 not developed. He was frustrated with not being able to see well and not trusting the pictures we found online, so he broke open an egg. THERE WAS A LIVE CHICK IN IT. :ep He killed it quickly. It was both funny and really-not-funny shocking at the same time! We have 27 developing eggs in there, due for hatching in the next week. Now I get the phrase "don't count your chickens before they hatch"!

Either labor or false labor starting up this morning for me. I have my OB appointment with all the testing again scheduled for this afternoon. Maybe Baby will get on with this and be born before the appointment? ;) LOL

Or maybe you will have the same thing happen to you that happened to me with my first-- my water broke in the doctor's face as he leaned in close. It was embarrassing and funny at the time. And a huge relief because there was NO DOUBT in anyone's mind at that point that I was in labor.

12 hours of contractions every 4 - 5 minutes today. My OB is getting seriously pushy about inducing. He wanted me to go directly to the hospital today! Seriously, I'm 39 weeks, 1 dy... average pregnancy is 40 wks + 5 days, AND the due date is absolutely 100% for sure 4 - 7 days too early. So I'm not even considering induction as an option for 2 more weeks. Pretty sure I won't still be pregnant then. Dilated to 4 cm now. Grandma picked up DS and the dog. I'm trying to rest. Very frustrated I can't sleep. I've had about 1 hour break from contractions now.

I ended up sleeping OK (considering the circumstances). Contractions started up verrrrrry slowly this morning. Might be another long day over here. Who knows?

3 eggs pipping now.

I'm laughing so hard reading that Denim Deb!!!

After crazy emotional irrational pregnant lady drama (yep, I even walked out of the hospital and went home....), labor finally started for real and he was born in just 1.25 hours! Just 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital (the second time which was via ambulance). He is perfect, 6 pounds, 13 ounces! :love

6 chicks are completely hatched (one is doing poorly), 2 more were unzipping this morning, and more pips too!
