I got that applesauce canned! First I forgot to turn on the canner, then I plugged in a dehumidifier on the same circuit, tripped a breaker, but didn't notice right away, and then had to re-process.

I canned ketchup and pizza sauce, and have tomato puree left to cook down into sauce tomorrow (a.k.a. Later today). DS10 peeled apples for 5 future apple crisp desserts and those are put up in the freezer. DH made apple cobbler :drool and washed dishes.... lots and lots of dishes! :love

My big plan is to get a couple ingredients after my surgery consult tomorrow morning and then can tomato sauce, green tomato mincemeat and watermelon lemonade concentrate in the afternoon. After that, my canning aspirations will be more-or-less complete. The chickens can feast on the rest of the tomatoes! (They don't like tomatoes.)

Google suggests the recovery for this potential surgery could be longer and more difficult than my last, so I am motivated to get all this canning done. Just in case of the worst-case scenario, I don't want to be stressed out or feeling guilty about produce!

Watermelon lemonade sounds amazing. I've got to try that sometime.

Goodness - sure hope you don't have to have another surgery. BUT - if you do - you gotta R.E.S.T afterwards. I know...I'm being bossy...LOL!

Because my insurance deductible is met so I have to get EVERYTHING done before the end of the year! I'll probably never meet my insurance deductible again! DH always picks the high-deductible plans! I'm racking my brain "do I have any other nagging health issues I need to get resolved?" :gig

Gosh, I hope you don't have to go for more surgery so soon :hugs And still finding the strength and energy to can produce in-between recovering. You are an amazing woman!

I forgot to update y'all. The issues is starting to resolve, and surgeon said if I can tolerate the pain as it continues to resolve, I'm better off to avoid the surgery. He gave me a referral to a fancy-schmancy specialist to try to get at the root problem. :gig The root problem is my autonomic nervous system doesn't work right.

I'm beginning to return to normal activity. After a week of restricted activity, I'm deconditioned, my POTS is worse, my ANS is trippy. But my house is finally clean! :weee

My big plan about canning all that stuff fell through, I had tachycardia, presyncope, and adrenaline dumping at my doctor appointment and wasn't able to go grocery shopping after. My plan is to take DS2 to library storytime and then go to the grocery store on the way home... but pretty sure that's not going to happen either. If I can manage to get the last few ingredients during the day, I'm sure I'll have energy (insomnia) to can at night.

Library storytime and grocery shopping didn't happen. I didn't have "energy" to cook, but I had a gift card to a local restaurant so we went out to eat.

I messaged my cardiologist and a nurse called me back right away to schedule an appointment - next week! Awesome! I am learning how to talk to doctors!
