Well, I got some sleep, not a whole lot, but I'll be ok. Breakfast is going to be at the local convenience store. And, after work, I'll be going home to get a few things. I hope he's not there.

:hugsI would have left with my cats too. I would be in the tack room with you.
I hope that a good situation comes up for you. Sometimes you don't know they are there until you need them. Maybe you can look into renting a room from a friend until you can get into the trailer park you mentioned.

I wish I was closer and could take care of your animals for you. Stay away from your husband. If you are really worried about going back, the police could accompany you. Or, have your children present to witness what goes on.

I'm glad your computer is a lap top and you can take it with you! I think no matter what, you are better off without someone who drinks like that, MD or no.
:hugs

When I left my ex, I told him I was going shopping & left with the clothes on my back. I didn't go back for my stuff until I had 3 big guys with me for protection.

I'm glad you were able to take your cats; luckily I didn't have any critters at the time.

Many prayers & good wishes going your way. :fl

Yes, be strong and confident. Hold your chin up and dare anyone to look you in the eyes! Can you drive over there and see from a distance whether he is there or actually went into work? He may have said that to keep you away, afraid and vulnerable.

Hugs to you Deb.....

Just an update. He called me up this morning. I thought about not answering, but decided I would. He wanted to know where I was. I told him it was none of his business. Then he wanted to know when I was coming home. I told him later, but only to get some stuff that I needed. I don't recall all now what we said, but I do know that I told him he expects the impossible out of me. He complains about how messy the house is, but I have asked for help for years, and never gotten it. He says he'll help.

For now, I'm home. But, he also knows not to push me too far, that I will walk. A big reason I came home is Rerun. I've been thinking for a bit that she might be sick. Last night, I came to the conclusion that yes, she is sick. So, I have a vet appointment set up for her for Wednesday night. (Actually for all 3 of them. Neither Rerun nor Dust Bunny have had their shots yet this year. And the only reason Cindy has is because she lives in my tack shed. I let her out during the day. RU has 5 strays that she started to feed, they hang around my hay shelter, but she doesn't get them shots. But, Cindy sounds like she has an upper respiratory again.) She's such a small cat to begin with, and now she feels like she's lost weight that I figured this was not a good time to be moving her. I already lost my dog. I don't want to lose my cat, too.

Another reason I came home is because my DH is supposed to finish my tack shed and hen house over the weekend. This will mean that my shed will be insulated, the saddle racks will be up, and rather than a cot, I'll have a "shelf" to put a mattress on. I get that, and I'll get a regular mattress rather than an air mattress. I think I'll sleep better on it. I figured if I didn't come home, he wouldn't do it and I can't afford to pay someone else.
