He won't mess w/me physically. I have a 2nd degree black belt, and he knows (even if he won't admit it) that I could take him.

So sorry you are going through this. :( I grew up in a household where my father was like that so I understand how difficult it can be. You never know if it is going to be a good day or bad one. Just a little bit of advice. Protect yourself legally. Is it actually his house or both of yours? Talk to a lawyer if you can to know what your states laws and rights are. I have seen people taken advantage of dreadfully because the other person got a "head start" on them and hid assets or they didn't try to get what was legally theirs out of fear or ignorance. I will pray for you and your husband.

The house is in both our names. I do know some stuff, and talking to a lawyer is on my "to do" list. I don't know how many times my DH has told me that I'd better hope he doesn't win the lottery. Actually, I hope he DOES win the lottery. I know I'd be entitled to half his winnings.

I had a fairly good day today. DH and I were going to go out to the farm so he could finally build my chicken coop, but it was cold and windy. So we decided to stay home instead. I worked some on my garden. I'm putting up a new fence. It took me awhile to figure out how to measure properly for putting up the posts. And, as I go, I'm also working on getting my garden ready for winter. I should have had all of that done a month ago, but the weather just hasn't cooperated. I also started to see if I can dig up that red maple that's in my way. Right now I'm wondering if I could maybe get it partially loose, then put something on the trunk to protect it, and use a chain and my truck to drag it out. My DH thinks we're going to have to cut it down, I'm still hoping to save it.

My DH actually did some work around the house today! First, he put my chainsaw back together. The chain came off the last time I used it. And when I was trying to put it back on, I had pieces fall out. I couldn't get it together, there was nothing in the manual showing how it was supposed to go together, so I had called the company. They told me, that's a dangerous piece of equipment. If you don't put it back together right, you're going to have a problem. You need to take it to one of our repair centers. :he Found out I was doing it correctly, I just couldn't quite get the nuts back on.

He also took his chainsaw and cut up a whole bunch of wood! He couldn't split it-he fell off of a bucket when he was drunk on Sunday and hurt his hip. So, I spent some time and got some of it split. I didn't get all that he cut split, but I was able to fill the wood holder I have near the wood stove. I figure if I spend about an hour a day, I should be able to keep that full, plus start getting the wood shed filled. I don't think the shed will hold all the wood I have. Someone gave me 9 pickup loads full of logs, plus I've brought home wood from other places. I'm hoping that my DH will build another wood shed. I'd like to start the winter w/2 full sheds, then when one gets empty, I could get wood and refill it while I'm working on emptying the other one.

KN fed the horses this morning, but that's all she did. So, I ran out b4 it got dark to give Stormy his 2nd feeding as well as feed my chickens. When we moved the horses over, we were supposed to get the run-in all cleaned out. It didn't happen. RU had started making it into stalls years ago. We got some more of it done last year, but there's still no stalls perse. Yesterday I started working on cleaning out what will be Licorice's stall. When I'm done that, I'll do what will be Misty's and Stormy's stalls. Once they're cleaned out, my DH will help me finish them. And while there's a gutter up, it doesn't work properly. The water spills over in front of the 2 stalls. I'll be getting a good gutter for it. And, I'll have it empty into some barrels. That way, if it gets dry, I can hopefully use the water in the barrels to help keep the grass growing.

Yesterday I got 2 40 lb bags of BOSS at TSC. They were selling them for $9.99! The feed store charges almost $20 for 50 lbs, so I got 2 bags. I got home, opened them up and found they were all moldy. So today, I took them back. I wasn't the only one that had that problem. I did open the new bags at the store to be sure they were ok. Then I tied them up w/baling twine. Right now, they're in the back of my truck. I'll put them away tomorrow. It was dark by the time I got home, and there's too much stuff I could trip over trying to put them away. They'll be fine where they are.

Not sure. It won't be real big since I only have a few birds. I won't get a lot of chickens as long as they're at the farm. I don't think it's fair to RU. And, I won't have a lot at home since I'm not really supposed to have them there. Right now, the neighbors aren't saying anything, but I don't want to push it.
