Not sure. Hubby's supposed to be building it. He says he has it all planned out, some wood cut, etc but he's done nothing to it today. We did go to TSC, and they don't have any carts. :hit I've basically not gotten anything done today. We only have one vehicle right now. (Son has the Durango) So, he wanted to go shopping. If I had known where he wanted to go shopping, I WOULD NOT have gone w/him. Something about that store really bothers my ears, plus he takes FOREVER to grocery shop. And, we really didn't need anything. It was late by the time we finally left. He dropped me at the farm while he went to TSC. Now I'm ready to go back out, but can't leave yet-unless I want a cold dinner. I just might do it anyway. It's getting later, I need to feed Storm, plus I still have wood to do. Basically, I get nothing done when he's home and I hate it. He's talking about retiring in 8 months or so, and I'm asking myself how I'm going to handle that.

I can hardly believe that I was able to do this, but I finished reading the Bible tonight! :ya :weee :celebrate So that means that tomorrow, I start all over on Genesis 1:1.

In other news, I got my mower started. I don't know when I'm going to get the cart I want, but we do have one at home that I can use, it's just not as big as the one I'm getting, nor is it as easy to use. But, I'll be taking it out to the farm either tomorrow or Monday. This should make my life so much easier.

I have a schedule I started to develop last year for reading. All of the schedules that I've seen have been based on the number of chapters in the Bible. But, some chapters are real short, and others are long. Mine is based on the number of pages so that each day's reading is about the same length. (If I'm not at a good place to break, I go a little longer or shorter.) Maybe I should start to list it on the Bible study thread and see who all is up to the challenge of reading it cover to cover.

Lately we've been enjoying temps that are much higher than normal. We've had a few colder days, but nothing that really felt like winter. All of that is changing. Today, we had a high in the 40s w/wind. Tonight is supposed to be in the teens, and tomorrow isn't supposed to get above freezing and they're still calling for wind. Between Christmas, then being sick, and now pink eye, I just can't get everything caught up outside. I was going to do some wood today, but bending over makes my left eye hurt. Basically, I got nothing done today. W/the drop in temps, I wanted to get blankets on the horses. I did Misty and Stormy, but not Licorice. Misty gets cold easily, and w/Stormy's age and his heaves, I'm all for doing what I can to keep him comfy. Licky is only 7, and has a good body weight. If she seems cold tomorrow, I'll blanket her. Honey, I'm not worried about in the least.

We may have started a new tradition out at the farm today. I was in Dollar Tree recently, and was seeing all kinds of neat things for $1.00, things that I knew the others would enjoy. So, I bought everyone a $1.00 gift, then talked to everyone about having a party w/gifts, but we couldn't spend more than $1.00 per gift. And, if you couldn't find anything else, you could just give them a chocolate bar. Everyone liked that idea. Today was the day. I wasn't going to go because of my pink eye. They told me come, just don't touch anything or anyone. They made me a sandwich, got me a drink, in fact, they basically waited on me hand and foot! A couple of people didn't follow the rules, and went over the $1.00 limit, but that was up to them. LF got everyone some stud muffin horse treats. PT didn't know what they were, and was ready to eat them! Good thing it happened at the farm. The highlight of the party though, was the box of mystery gifts. When KN got to the farm, she had to go in RU's tack shed. She found a box of wrapped presents. Each present had a card w/a person's name. When we opened these gifts, everyone but RU got a new hay bag. And, since most people didn't have one, and I needed a new one, everyone was thrilled. RU has a few hay bags, so she got a sign that said Horses are like potato chips, you can't have just one. The cards were all signed Santa Claus. They are all trying to figure out where these gifts came from. I'll never tell, but they were from me. :D I was tired of people using my hay bags and either dumping my hay out, or not returning them, especially since they didn't ask, they just took them out of my trailer. Last time, I found my hay bag in RU's barn. I had gotten 4 of the hay bags last year. I needed a new blanket for Stormy, but he didn't have enough for an order, so I had him order the hay bags. When they came in, I realized they weren't the ones I thought they were, but I didn't tell him that. I figured I'd find something to do w/them. Then, when I was in another tack store, I found what I was looking for, but had never used it. Believe me, it was well worth the money I spent just to see the looks on everyone's faces, and hear all the ideas as to who it could be. When I was asked, I told them I hadn't been in the tack shed for days. And, I hadn't. I merely opened the door, and placed the box inside. Don't know if they'll ever figure it out or not.

Hubby had off today, so he went to Lowes and he got my cart! It is now in the back of my pick up. I'm hoping they'll be someone at the farm tomorrow that can help me get it out. If so, I'll be able to do a lot of cleaning! I wont have to walk back and forth w/the bucket anymore, which will save me time, plus I won't have to add to Mt. Manure. And, w/the cold weather, my field should FINALLY dry out! I'm thinking of taking some ashes w/me though for just in case the puddle in front of Misty and Stormy's stalls is thick ice. I don't really need them slipping and getting hurt.

I did have a helper though, I knew they'd know they were from me if I signed the cards. So, I had a woman at church do it for me. It was fun.

I am feeling better-my eyes aren't all crusted over, and they don't hurt as much, but they're constantly tearing and they itch like crazy! And, my cheeks hurt a bit. I'm assuming it's because I have to keep wiping them to get rid of the tears or it's because of the salt in them. I'm not reading much, I can't. And, I can't watch TV. Basically, I've been sleeping a lot. Maybe that's a good thing.
