Thanks. And, I can already see that keeping off this leg is going to be a problem. I can walk-I'm just not supposed to w/out the crutches. And, I'll probably be on them for 2 weeks. I'm hoping I don't need therapy, or that it's something I can do at home.

Family is doing a good job of taking care of me. They make sure I get the ice on for 20, then off for 20. Only problem being, w/all the layers, I can just barely feel the cold!

I had a terrible time sleeping last night. First off, it snowed. I don't know what it is about snow, but for some reason, more often than not when it's going to snow over night, I have trouble sleeping. And, it's not excitement or dread, I just feel wide awake. I've talked to one other person that has the same problem. I'm thinking it must be something w/the barometric pressure. And I also had trouble getting comfortable. I'll admit, I took one of my pain pills hoping it would knock me out-it didn't. And, I didn't want to try and take 2, though I can for just in case. So, it was around 2:00 am B4 I was able to sleep.

I slept until right around 6:00 and had to get up and go. And of course, I couldn't get back to sleep. So, I decided I'd get on my computer for awhile. Only problem being? It wouldn't start up! It made a funny noise and the screen went black. First I thought it was just because it had become unplugged, so I plugged it back in and tried again. It came up w/a screen for different starting modes, I just tried to start it normal. Didn't work. Same thing. So then I tried another one, that didn't work. Last thing I tried was safe mode. It still didn't work. So, I turned it back off. It felt a bit warm, so I was thinking maybe something overheated. I waited a bit, same thing. And, hubby wasn't up yet. He knows computers, I don't. So, I left it until he woke up.

I watched some TV. It's getting later. He's still sleeping. I wanted my coffee and something to eat. So, I get up, make myself some coffee, stick it in a thermos, find something to eat, put it in a little container, got my ice pack and stuck it all in a plastic bag. Then, I head back to the room. I drank my coffee and ate while watching the messiest house in America. I thought my house was bad, this house made my house at it's worse look clean! :ep (In the process of cleaning it, they found $5,000!) And, I watched a couple of episodes of Super Nanny. Hubby did wake up, and worked on my computer, and it's working now. But, I'm bored. He won't even let me go out and feed the goats.

I'm also really wanting to get back out to the farm. I already know, no one fed my chickens yesterday. I doubt very much that the litter box was cleaned and that the cats were given their canned food. I want to go take care of my animals. :hit

As hard as it is, you need to heal first. Get well soon!

I know. I should be able to get back out on my own by Friday. And while I can't feed, I can at least do the cats.

Years ago, I went out for a walk in the woods w/the dog I had then. It was in January, and below freezing. I had to pull ticks off of her when we got back! I don't recall now if I had any on me or not. Unfortunately, you can find ticks year round, at least in some areas. Now, where it really gets cold, don't know.

Well, my home animals are getting good care. Hubby overfed both the goats and the rabbits. I don't think the goats minded, though. The rabbits, I don't fill their feeder completely cuz they dig at their food and it ends up getting wasted.

I'm ready to go nuts over here! I talked to KN. This is the 2nd day that the litter box wasn't cleaned and the cats were not given their canned food. Plus, Stormy's hoof wasn't picked out. :he It's supposed to be cleaned everyday because he has thrush in it. I'll admit to really feeling frustrated. When KN's horse had really bad thrush in all 4 hooves, I soaked her hooves cuz she couldn't get out because of work. I change blankets for her when she can't get out. I take care of everyone else's animals like I would my own, but they don't seem to care to do the same for me. I can hardly wait for Thursday. My hubby doesn't know it yet, but he'll be dropping me off on his way to work. RU is taking me for my post op appointment, and we're going out to brunch. I hope I don't find a big, stinky mess in my tack shed when I get there.

I was afraid of that :/ Sorry Deb. You'll be able to do it yourself soon. I can't stand when folks expect so much of me and give so little back when I'm in need.. it's SO maddening!!! :barnie I would do it exactly as you asked if it were me, because I appreciate how good you are to those folks when they need you :hugs Sorry they are being ungrateful lunkheads :smack
