I slept until about 4:10, looked at the alarm clock and realized it was blinking. The power was out at some point in time! :barnie So, I got out my cell phone, reset everything and went back to sleep until around 5:30.

I'll bet she's gonna go to the farm, feed the horses, take care of the cat and work on her tack room - then wood cutting, then home to feed the goats and then dinner and then ... finally... bed!

How much ya wanna bet? Huh? ;)

I AM awake!

And, nope, I didn't work on the tack shed. I worked on the wall between Stormy's stall and KN's horse. But, I couldn't find my screws, and I needed an extra set of hands in order to get the one board in place. But, most of it is done. As soon as I find my screws and get a spare pair of hands to hold the board up, I can finish! Then, it's just a matter of getting the boards along the bottom of all the stalls, and I can FINALLY get the pea gravel in!

They're calling for rain on Friday. So, tomorrow, I'm going to figure out how to hang hay nets in the stalls. Then, I'll fill them up so that I can just hang them on Friday. That way, I won't have to uncover the hay on Friday. If I had gotten my hay shelter done out at the farm, it wouldn't be so much of a hassle. Next year, I want it done, and I want some SBs in there. They're easier to stick in a hay net.

I'm getting ready to go out and do some wood. Tomorrow, I plan on getting another load of it, then cutting up as much of it as I can. The rest will be left someplace sheltered.

Well, you got part of it right. And, since this is what I've been working on for months, it was a good guess.

Well, I FINALLY got all the wood that I had in that pile cut up and in the wood shed! :weee The only wood I didn't cut up was some that I have in the wood shed. That's there for just in case we get a lot of rain. I want some in there that's nice and dry. I'm trying NOT to use the wood that I've been stacking in there. If at all possible, that will be used for next winter. But, it took me about 2.5 hours to get it all cut and stacked! :th I was going to do some dishes, but I'm just too beat. So, I'm relaxing for the rest of the night.

I had a duh moment this afternoon. One of the boards that I put in isn't quite in place. There's some old nails in my way and I couldn't figure out how to get them out. There's no way I can yank them. Then it dawned on me, I have a sawzall. I can cut them w/that.

Yeah, that's how we break down pallets to use the wood. Sawzalls are very handy tools :D I even cut some brush with mine before

I can't get that far w/it. After about a minute, I'm starting to feel sick, so it's normally my last tool of choice. I'm just hoping the blade is long enough. If it isn't, I'll have to use the hack saw and hope that it fits in.
