Today is going to be a busy day. My house looks like a tornado hit it and so does my tack shed. So, I'll need to do a bunch of work to both of them. Plus, I need to work w/Licorice. I think I'll give Misty the day off. She deserves it. Not sure if I'll get to the pit today or not.

I hope to work some on firewood today. I still haven't started on the goat/chicken house and don't know when I'm going to be able to work on it. I still don't have my truck, and still need 3 pieces of OSB. Since my truck isn't running, I can't get it. I really miss my truck. And, I really need to get this built. I don't know what I'm going to do.

I wish I could take a day off. But right now, I can't. I have too much to do B4 the end of the month.

I got more done that I thought I would, but not as much as I wanted to. I ran out of steam this afternoon. I still worked Licorice in the RP, but didn't do as much as I planned. I was just too tired. I got my tack shed kind of sort of cleaned out.

When I got home, I sat down and relaxed for longer than I'd planned. I finally got up and did some firewood. I think I have everything in the one spot cut short enough now and got some of it split. I was going to split it all and fill the wood holder in the basement, but just couldn't get enough energy to do it. I'm hoping I'll get a good night's sleep and will be ready to do stuff tomorrow.

I slept all night, and didn't want to get up. But, I'm up, have clothes in the washer and am getting ready to start on my kitchen. I have my appointments, so I have the jeep. Hubby took DD's car. It's not running the greatest, but it is running. She has her hubby's truck. As much as I hate to do it, I'm going to be putting some stuff in the back of the jeep-like gas cans. I don't have any other way to fill them and they're empty. I'm also going to measure the back and see if I can fit the 3 sheets of OSB I need in there. If I can, then I can get the goat/chicken house done this week and bring home the chickens I want here. It will help my feed costs.

Once I get home, I'm going to finish the wood I started yesterday, and fill up the wood holder in my basement. I'll also get the trashcans out. I think that will be plenty for today.

I don't know. I've never made any. I've never been able to find more than a handful of them. So, I've just eaten them. I'm hoping on Thursday afternoon that I can check out the tree and see if any are ripe.

I didn't even bother to measure the back of the jeep. I could see just by looking at it that there was no way I could fit the OSB in there. But, I did get the gas. I had one can for the mower, and 2 cans for the bike. And so I didn't have to worry about hubby getting upset, I left all of them at the farm. There's trash that I need to bring home, but I wouldn't put it in the back. It didn't smell that great, and I didn't want to smell it all the way home.

I was able to get my kitchen done this morning B4 I left. I also got a load of clothes out on the line. And I had enough time to get to TSC B4 heading to my appointments. I took my horn bag w/me. The zipper got broken over the weekend, so while I was sitting at the allergist's, I got the zipper out. Then I went to Joanne's, and got some thread, some duck cloth (so I can fix Misty's blanket), some pins and some needle threaders. But, I couldn't find a zipper that looked right. I have a couple of other places I can look. Got gas, went to the chiropractor's, then went back to the farm. The chickens were happy to see me. They were out of food.

Got home, got the animals fed, then got the clothes off the line, then worked on firewood. I have the wood holder in the basement 1/2 full. I still have more wood to split, so I'm hoping I can get it done tomorrow. There are some pieces that I can't split, so they'll have to wait. Once I get that wood done, I can clean up that part of the yard!

Sometimes I feel like I'm not making progress, but I look at my yard, and I can see where I have stuff done. I look at my house, and I can see where stuff is done. I ride Misty, and can see where I'm riding better. So, even though it feels like I'm not getting anywhere, I am making progress.

I need to get busy. I have clothes to wash and put out on the line. I want to make chocolate chip, banana bread. I want to do some housework this morning, and I'm working for a few hours today. Once I get home, I want to take the jeep and go to the store. They're having a one day only sale at a local supermarket w/some super good deals and no rain checks. I'm hoping I can get there early enough. Wouldn't be a problem if I had the truck. Other than that, I plan on doing more wood and maybe even some of the garden.

Had a good day. B4 I left, I got clothes washed and out on the line. Got my chocolate chip, banana bread made. And, I did some housework.

Worked longer than I'd planned, then went to the farm and fed Stormy. I hadn't fed CL's horses this morning, so I fed them while Stormy was eating.

It was too late to do any work in the pit, so instead I did some sorting of lumber. Some went in a burn pile, and some went w/the good lumber I have.

When I got home, I relaxed for a bit, then went to the store. I got the last pork loin-$1.69/pound, 2 packs of ground beef (1 for us, 1 for DS), 3 packs of bacon, a pack of sausage, 5 lbs. of potatoes and a 5 lb. bag of flour.

Coming home, I did some curb side shopping (don't tell hubby. I don't think he'd be very happy since I stuck it in his jeep.). When I left this morning, I noticed some plastic mesh out for the trash. But, since I was on the bike and the truck isn't running, I figured I wouldn't be able to get it. Well, since Monday was a holiday, they didn't collect our trash! So, I grabbed it when I came home from the store. I don't know how much there is, but it will come in handy when I do my chicken pen. I have 1 roll of it, but couldn't get another. I'm hoping I now have enough to cover the top of the pen.

The wood holder in the basement is full, and I've started working in the garden. I need to have stuff out by the time I go to bed on Saturday. We could get a frost, if not a freeze.

It's going to be a busy day. I need the jeep tonight, but hubby's playing golf. Since DS is also playing he's going to be picking me up, and I'll get the jeep from hubby B4 they head over to play. Then, I'll stop at the farm to give Stormy his last feeding. Since hubby won't be home, I'll be dragging the mesh out of my horse trailer, and seeing how much I actually have. I'll also be doing more in the garden.

Looking at the forecast, I may need to give the horses some extra hay. And/or, I may just put their rain sheets on them. It's going into the 30s for Sunday and Monday, and only getting up into the 50s! That's a little cold for this time of year. It's definitely soup and stew type weather. In fact, stew sounds good for dinner. I have a small crock pot, so I think I'll throw what I need for stew for myself in it. Then, if there's extra, I have lunch for tomorrow.
