I am. I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm hoping I can sleep in some.

Couldn't figure out how to start LF's mower, so I didn't clean the field. It's probably just as well. I helped LF's hubby get the hay put away, then started working on house #3. Since hubby and I were talking about going out, I was trying my hardest to get all done by the time he got done work. It didn't happen. The wind picked up, and I couldn't get the roof on. So, hubby stopped on his way home from work and helped me get it on. It's not nailed down all the way, but enough to keep it in place. And, the pipe insulation works great for filling in the gaps from the roof! I may need to pull out a couple of nails on the other houses to get it in, I figure it should make it so I don't have any rain coming in from the sides. I still have to paint the one side of the chicken door and the "window", and attach a piece of 2x3 so I can hang hinges, but that won't take long. That will get done on Wednesday. So, now all I need is dry weather so I can finish the fence! Once that's done, I can move my chickens down. I think they'll be happy.

Once hubby left, I got stuff put away, got hay out, took care of the chickens and went to leave. I couldn't! Apparently my keys fell out of my pocket. I looked for them the best I could, but it was getting dark. So, hubby had to get his key, and bring it out to the farm. I'm hoping I can find them tomorrow.

They are now calling for rain everyday this week! So, I don't know if I'll be able to get the fence up or not. We'll see. On Wednesday, I plan on cleaning up the hay stall. I didn't get to it yesterday, but if I can have it all cleaned up, I can get the hay in there-as soon as it stops raining! Thursday they are saying PM rain, so maybe, just maybe I can finish the chicken area then and get the hay out.

Got some of my house clean today, then went to the bank, gas station and feed store B4 heading to the farm. I really didn't want to leave the feed store and head to the farm since it was so mucky out, but I had to do it. Got to the farm, got everyone fed and look for my keys some. No luck.

For some reason, PT was at the farm early, so as I was heading out to Bible study, I mentioned to her that I lost my keys. She called me at Bible study to tell me that she had found them! They didn't fall out of my pocket, I put them down when I fed the chickens. So, since the key is all electronic, I have it sitting in a bag of rice for just in case. It may be OK, but I don't know for sure. Went to my appointments, did a bit of Christmas shopping and went back to the farm. Got Stormy fed, then got into my trailer and managed to get 4 bales of hay out and into the feed stall. It was not easy w/as muddy as it is out there. I'm hoping I can get the hay all out of the trailer soon, but w/all the rain they're calling for, I don't know.

Now I'm home and am relaxing for a bit. I'm beat and am thinking of going to bed real early. I'm hoping I can get a lot done tomorrow.

There's almost nothing I can do at the farm today or tomorrow if we get the rain they're calling for. I'll be cleaning out the hay stall, painting the last couple of little pieces for the houses, and I don't know what all else-unless we get breaks from the rain. But, the forecast is for rain for the next several days. And they keep changing how much rain we're going to get and when we're going to get it. They had called for it to be rain free tomorrow w/T-storms late. Now they're calling for T-storms as any time during the day. Otherwise, I'd be all done my chicken area either today or tomorrow w/the chickens moved down. So, we'll see. If I didn't need to go to the farm, I'd get so much done around the house. I hope to still do a bit, and need to get started. The dishes have multiplied again, so I need to do them for starters.

sounds like we are passing our rain on over to you. i keep telling myself not to gripe because it was so dry here last summer and fall but it sure makes it hard to get things done. I'm glad the chicken houses are coming together.

I'm just glad it's not all snow! In spite of the rain, I got quite a bit done. I painted the rest of the door and "window" as well as 3 pieces of wood I need for hanging the waterers off of. I got the chicken door and "window" hung on house #2. I was going to hand the window on house #1, but I put the 2x3 in the wrong place so I had to take it of and redo it. That meant I had to paint that part, so I couldn't hang it. I got the screw eyes in place for hanging the feeders. I got the rest of the roof on #3 nailed down, then got the pieces of pipe insulation in place on #1 and 2.

By the time I got done all of that, it was starting to rain. So, I went in the stall and moved wood around, then put down my pallets. As soon as I get some dry weather, I'll be getting the hay out.

I got home early, and so did hubby. So, we went out and did some shopping. I'm done. Anything that didn't get bought won't get bought.

Tomorrow will be another busy day, but after that, I should be able to relax a bit. I know I'm not getting the chickens moved by Christmas, but at least I have the houses all done. I'm hoping the rain stops soon. Last forecast I saw called for rain at least thru Monday. But at least they should be down by the time next year rolls around.

They've changed the forecast! While they're still calling for rain today and Saturday, they're no longer calling for rain tomorrow, Sunday or Monday! So, I'm hoping to get quite a bit done. Only problem being, it's not going to be as warm on Monday. But, it's not going to be bitterly cold, so it shouldn't be too bad. As much as I'd like to get the hay out of my trailer, I think my best bet is to wait until Monday. I have enough in the feed stall to last thru Sunday, so this way, I'll be opening up the trailer when I need the hay. And hopefully, the ground will dry up a bit so that I can get it out w/out too much trouble.

So today, I'll concentrate on finishing up the chicken houses, then starting on the fence. And I'll do like I did yesterday, leave the farm early. Either on the way to or from the farm I'm going to stop at the church. I want to practice on the piano there for the song I'm playing tonight. The keys are stiffer than my piano, so it throws me off. I can play the song perfectly here, I need to be able to play it perfectly there.

I'll be doing a ton of housework this morning and this afternoon as well as dishes. If I can have it all done B4 I leave for church, then I can get the presents all wrapped tonight, and get to bed early.

Other than some hook and eyes, my chicken houses are done. The only reason I didn't get them on was because I couldn't find them. But, that's not a big deal. I was going to work on the fence, but it was so muddy out that I said forget it. Plus, they were calling for showers and I just didn't feel like getting wet. Instead, I got they feed stall cleaned up. Then, I worked on sorting out some staples, screws, etc. I got most of them done.

Got the dishes all done, and the dusting B4 I left. When I got home, I vacuumed. Hubby doesn't feel like wrapping gifts, and I don't know what he got for people, so I can't wrapped what he got. So I don't know what kind of Christmas we're going to have.

Today is going to be another warm day. So, hubby is planning on working on my truck! I'd love to have that back for tomorrow. There's no evening service, so once I get home, I'm planning on working in my garden if I can. That way, I'm close if hubby needs me, but at the same time, I'm getting that done.

If I can get my garden all done, I'll work on my flower garden. I have some asparagus and rhubarb I want to move into it. Once I get done that, I'll work on hubby's garden. I'm not as concerned about his as mine. If I get to it, I get to it, if not, oh well.

Well, hubby didn't work on my truck. It was too damp. He didn't want to chance any moisture getting in on what he needed to work on. But, he was able to work on DD's SUV. So, while he did that, I worked on my flower gardens. I got all the leaves raked out of them, and started to weed them. He was working out front, and was under her SUV, so that meant I was right there if he needed help.

He got done right about when I was planning on stopping, so I got the animals fed, then went out to the farm and got everyone fed. I now have at least 5 chickens laying! So, come Wednesday, I can stop tossing the eggs and hopefully have some to sell. While I was waiting for Stormy to finish eating and after I got the hay out, I tied up a part of the fence. This is the section I had taken off so I could fill in that area more. It looks like there's enough dirt there! I'm hoping to be almost all done tomorrow. They're calling for rain on Tuesday, so if I can everything done but the gates, I can make them after Bible study. Then, on Wednesday, I could hang them and move my chickens! I'll be so glad to have this all done.

Tomorrow is going to be colder, so I have the fire going. I think I might go and read a book in front of it.
