My mom got a Papillion, Maggie May, just after I graduated and went to the service! Great little dog. Maggie thought she was a much larger dog. Faithful to a fault, Maggie guarded my mom like she was a 200lb Rottweiler!! :gig

Not really. I call my dogs a lot of different names, some of which can not be posted on a family friendly site.

Ginger Snap's nickname is "The Snap" or "Snapper Dog"
Shirley Ann usually gets called SHIRLEY ANN!! with my loud outside voice!!
Gracie Sue, is the Golden One or The Swamp Collie most of the time.

Furball, Fuzzball, Knot head, Blond dog and Turd Burglar fits any one of them at any time! :gig

we went and did it. Got a Papillion yesterday. Male

name is either Whitey or Gizmo---Nicole doesn't have a clue what to name it. Just went to the store and bought a carrier and all that dog mes.

last night was fine. he stayed in the back room with her and he slept under a turned over laundry basket...hey came in handy. I stuck him in it and he jumped out....so I put the towel on the floor and turned the basket on him and instant cage! :) he wimpered 2 times and slept the whole night, no problems

yikes......

I know I will regret this for the next 12-15 years

but I did it for Nicole. Obviously she is thrilled.

I will have to start dog house therapy soon. I am not an indoor dog person and I feel weird actually...kinda like what is this rat doing in my house...haha---but I am very slowly getting my blood pressure under control

So house under dog rule but believe me the dog is under my rules! :)
very limited
NOT a rat! Butterfly!!! *Charm* would be a great name!

A lady in my old dog training club has a couple of Papillions. They are amazing little dogs! She uses them in : agility, obedience trials, flyball and "doggie square dancing" for nursing home and hospital visits.

I found some miniature frisbees at a discount store years ago and my little dogs (monsters compared to your new pooch!) love-love-love them! They are about the size of a quart yogurt lid, but actually a frisbee. Doesn't knock the teeth out of a smaller dog if they try to catch it. I wish I could find more of them. Of course, if I actually went into a store now and then I might find some.

Hey, you probably could use a yogurt lid! :p
