Dry spot?

So yeah, I got this dry spot on my belly. No rash, no flaky, no redness, just a slight difference in texture like the skin is tougher there (which it could be because I scratch it like a madman) and a LOT of itching. Tried more moisturizer after showers and bath. Tried cortisone ointment. Nothing helping so far. Ideas?

Yup, you got grapeseed oil handy in your kitchen? Rub it on. I've been treating my sons elbow for something like this and it is working very well. Olive oil will probably do just as well if you don't have grape

Try an antifungal yet? If no emollient works, try something like Tinactin cream and see if this works.

I'd use a couple drops of tea tree oil on it. Or eucalyptus oil if you're sensitive to tea tree.

ETA: or you could try lanolin on it.

I don't know, kel...both of those oils are astringents and may dry it out more..unless it IS fungal and then they may help, who knows?

How about completely greasing it up for overnight? I use Vaseline, but I know some folks avoid petroleum. Maybe olive oil? Works great on skin

This is what I was thinking too. If it's fungal, it'll disappear quick with some Tinactin.

Raw garlic and honey are supposed to be great cures for fungal skin issues, rubbed right on the skin.
