Almost Self-Reliant
Didn't for me. I know it does in the oven, but again, that's the heat. It does with an acid too, but I've never seen it "go off" in plain water. Could be wrong on that part though, maybe some peoples' water is acidic enough to set it off? It DOES bubble when you first add the water, but that's just the air escaping from the gaps between the little granules of baking soda. When you microwave it, it'll look like a pancake, with all of those bubbles in it. Almost looks like it's boiling from all of the gases.
