So....the end of an era. :( There are few men on this Earth that could move so many women with his hips, his grace, his smile. I will truly miss Patrick Swayze...seemed like one of the good guys.

Good-bye from this world, Mr. Swayze...I really hope you will be there in the next. :hit

Oh, man! Did he really die? I knew he had cancer but didn't realize it had progressed so far. He seemed to be a really nice man, dedicated to his long-time wife. That's really too bad...

I didn't realize he had cancer until I read about it today. Pancreatic cancer is the worst. I know several people who have had it and they died very quickly. Sad.

That movie gave hope to every plain girl in America! I could, and have, watched it at least a couple of times a year for many, many years now. Sometimes a gal just needs to watch Pat do his thing.... :)

Hey! Jennifer Grey wasn't plain, she was a hottie! Still is actually.

They were actually both in Red Dawn together as well, one of my fav shows.

They say once it hits your pancreas your a goner!

Yes...and we have seen a rise in pancreatic cancers in our area. Of course, we have a lot of alcoholics here, so this may be a factor. I read once that Pat was a pretty bad alcoholic, so I'm wondering if this didn't play a part in his eventual disease.

He was also a smoker too.

I loved Red Dawn!!! BB that film was shot during the "Cold War"...

Anyway, I am very sad to learn that he passed away today.

This has been a rough year for the stars hasn't it? :/

Hey--that's what I was thinking :) If SHE is plain, yikes!! I have no chance of beauty!

Yeah, I know that it had brought up a lot of controversy because of that, wasn't it banned somewhere? Its one of me and my mom's all time fav movies, and I could see that happening some day on US soil, unfortunately.

Made the people acting in it even more famous though.

I didn't want Toni (Grey) to die! When I watched it the first time I didn't expect it at all. I have the dvd of it and they had the original trailer for it included, there are parts on the trailer that aren't in the movie! No idea what they did that for, but I wanna see it all!
