I have started working on the baby's quilt. I just finished with the outline of the giraffe.

Our pizza came out good, even though the sourdough did not cook all the way. We used sourdough that I made and froze some time ago, our tomato sauce, peppers, shallots and garlic. and store bought cheese.

The living room is nice and warm and we are expecting more rain.

Mmmmm. I've been craving pizza for some unknown reason lately.

I keep forgetting this and not buying ingredients though.

The good news is....

....the baby turned around again. No c-section!

The bad news is...we have too wait ..... and .... see...and wait....wait....wait... until the little pooper decides to make his appearance :D

DD asked me to paint the trim in the baby's room. She said hubby is good for doing the walls, but he is a bit sloppy on the trim ;)
I will go over tomorrow to do some painting.

I have an experiment in the oven. I am trying to get back to a better diet and eliminating refined sugar and starches from my diet. I still crave the cookies, crackers etc. So I mixed up something and it is baking in the oven and it does smell good.

For dinner we are having a stew I took out of the freezer. I made it in december and I'll doctor it up a bit. I have been craving stew. I have also been cravig liver. I am so glad we have lots of nice deer liver in the freezer, so I'll be able to cook some up anytime.

I have been reading the front part of Nourishing Traditions. Oh boy. It is scary and justifying at the same time. For some reason I have listened to my body most of my life and not followed nutritional fads. Seems that I have been doing the right thing more or less, with some major stubles, but still. Overall I feel pretty good about what I have eaten in my lifetime. But the stuff that is bad for you is pretty scary and I have eaten plenty of that too. :/

Of course everyone around me is making fun of me for trying to not eat antinutrients and that is frustrating. But I know I am on the right nutritional path and will keep on trudging along. It is nice to have all the support from people on this forum.

Great news on the turn around!

As far as eating better, I keep trying to remind myself that I don't have to be perfect. Just keep listening to your body, learning, and making small changes in the right direction. Hopefully that's encouraging!

We have had some lovely weather these past few weeks. And lots of stuff to do and going on.
I discovered a lump on Billy on Sunday. It looks very much like it may be CL. So he is now seperated from the girls and I have an ad on Craig's List for him. Naturally I will disclose this information to any potential buyer. I am essentially selling him for meat.
The swelling does seem to be subsiding. I had cut the hair on it and outlined it with a marker. So it is really easy to see.

We also found out that a dear friend died in his sleep on Saturday night. He was a perpetual homeless person. I guess in the olden days he would be a hobo. He just preferred his beer to housing. He was a good, kind person and always had a smile on his face. We often fed him and just enjoyed his visits. He helped me paint my house for a tall beer and a large sandwhich a day.

We worked on the gardens, turning soil, planting some flowerbulbs and just plain old mantenance.

I also have been to DD's to help her paint the baby's room. She doesn't trust hubby to do a good job.
Yesterday I went over to finish the trim and to do some cleaning, when she had a doctor's appt. Her car's battery was dead, so I ended up going with her for her checkup. We didn't get home til 7pm. The nurse practitioner had some concerns about DD's health and had her get a bloodtest and a stress test for the baby. I picked up DD's migraine prescription, while she was undergoing the test.
I did get to see the baby during the ultrasound. He was sucking his thumb. Ohhhh, cute!

I feel so bad for DD. She is just sooo miserable. Much worse then the usual end of pregnany misery.

Now I am off to do the painting and cleaning I didn't get to do yesterday.
It is a good day for it. It is cold and raining here now.
