Whelp, we found another place that really piqued our interest and in the target price range. Only 2 acres, but there is room for gardens and chickens. A farm is all around it...it looks like a family member was given a chunk of land from the farm to build a house. We have engaged my cousin (licensed realtor) to assist. Hopefully we can tour this place over the weekend.

I don't mess around. LOL

We are meeting with the credit union Monday to complete pre approval paperwork. I am worried the house will get an offer before we are ready to go.

So, go look and present a contract now...even before approval...if it's a place you want. Quick! In reality, 2 acres may be perfect -- I don't hear you wanting more than a garden & chickens. Realtors are "supposed" to present contract in order received. At least go look!

Two walk throughs scheduled on Sunday....

Toured two homes. First one was meh, interior was underwhelming, didn't care for how the house was situated on the lot.

Second one has our interest though.
We've been looking for over five years now
