Well, 3 days now, and all the meaties are still with me! I started putting a pile of shavings in the center of the bed - they all run to the edges, cheeping their little heads off in sheer terror. Then about 7 of them start playing king of the hill on the pile and they scratch, root, and fluff the pile into nothingness. :D
Good on the meaties!!!! Those other chickies are adorable. Bet little bit loves them to death!! :)

My meaties go to freezer camp on the 14th of May.
One of my new layers has taken a shine to me. She is soooo stinkin' friendly that I finally had to name her.

Meet P'eggy Sue.

Don't mind the messy house. There is a wife AND a dog, both recovering from surgeries living in that living room. The House Elf(me) has been a very busy boy!!

Awww!!! Nothing like a man and his chicken.

I wish I had a House Elf.

Skr8pn I hope both of your loves heal quickly!!

FJ I am amazed at how fast these birds have grown. I think I will take a comparison pic today.

Have a good one.

How soon can they be here? I'll pay to have my neighbor vet give 'em a free checkup for ya! And my youngins would brush them every day!

Put your chickens out in a tractor on that lawn. They thrive on dandelions.
My meat birds can make an entire plant disappear in seconds!

That is a really cool picture. Mess, what mess? :hu Thanks for sharing! On that coop you built - are you going to replace the wheels with pontoons? We have rain in the forecast for everyday day but one next week!!!
