Hope you are getting some of this 78 and 20mph breeze we are getting today! It is just gorgeous out there!
Took a 1/2 day vacation day from work, sipping some ice water right now before heading back out to bale, I mean cut, the grass in the yard.
LOL My better half is out there doing ours now - he won't mow around the hive, though.

An Amish neighbor is going to loan me one of their mowers to mow around the bee hive so we don't have the sound of the gas motor or the gas smell around the hive :D

Wish E would just BUY me one of the Amish pushmowers! think of the $ we'd save not buying gas for the mower, and I'd get exercise!! :p

It took me all afternoon and almost to dark to do our 3 acres. It was relaxing sitting out on the big green and yellow thinking chair with nothing but the hum of the mower and smell of fresh cut grass. I love when the barn swallows dance around my head!

Yeah well I have mosquitos and bees and wasps buzzing my head every time I go outside now  Good job on the mowing :D I hope to get a lot done tomorrow after work. I need to restick my tomatoes...they're growing OVER the darn sticks :th I think those plants are going to be 4 feet tall. They are loaded with green tomatoes now. DH slobbers all over himself every time he goes to look at them  I won't let him touch them yet. We have baby squash now too!! The cayennes are doing great, and the Tabascos are finally pluggin right along. I'm still waitin for beans. Oh sorry...rambling...I'm so TIRED

Me thinks I am going to have TOO much actually. With my current OBSCENE schedule...I dunno if I can get it all put away. Hopefully things are going to slow a bit soon so I can tend to my garden better. The squash starts coming and I will be hard pressed to get anything else done...we have 14 plants..why I dunno, but we do, and when they ALL start producing, I'm gonna have to sell a lot or give it away.

Tomatoes...better nobody touchy my tomatoes! i do plan on selling green beans by the bushel when they get going, while I freeze, can, and dry a lot for us. The peas...didn't do too hot, but I have another chance at those in the Fall. The taters...I dug one plant up yesterday because I needed that big honking container, and I got 5 pretty good sized taters and a bazillion worms  I used that dirt to cover the other plants in the tires and am going to have to go get more tires tomorrow too. It's never ending I tell ya. Just about in full swing now :D

Okay, since last posting
- I made OFG's cheesecake with blueberries (yum)
- garden is PLANTED
- 2 weeks until the meaties head to the freezer, swinging by Meyer to pick up 35 more meaties (and whatever they may have on sale that looks good)
- got a bucket of mint plants from a friend tonight
- trying to survive the kids getting through the last few days of school
- trying to walk around with a smile on my face

Do you want the plants with the roots, or do you want me to start some new plants from the tips?

:barnie :barnie :barnie :barnie

Got home to see dead meaties sprawled out all through the coop, the run, and under some shade I set up. I think I have less than 10 left.

I had to mention the freezer last night.. :he
